Show f Aptitude Testing Completed At Union High Softool Two representatives from the Utah State Employment Security Secur-ity Office, E. A. Morelli, state employment counselor from the Salt Lake City office of U.S.E.S and S. C. Heiner, manager of the U.S.E.S. office in Vernal, have been at Union High School three days this week. Their purpose pur-pose has been to interpret results re-sults of the General Aptitude Test recently given to all seniors. sen-iors. This test is given to high school seniors as a service of the U.S.E.S. and measures a student's aptitudes and abilities in twenty different occupational areas. The test and the interpretation interpreta-tion to students of the test results re-sults is only a part of the Guidance Guid-ance Proigram being planned dior : students of Union High School. The program has, as one of its goals, the desire to give students ' as much information as possible about themselves and the world of work and education, in order that the students can make wise decisions regarding their planned plan-ned work, occupation, and future fu-ture schooling. Paul1 W. Barton, student counselor coun-selor at the high school, .states that other tests and counselling will be. available to ail students stu-dents and encourages them to take advantage of the facilities and information being made available. |
