Show Bride Honored At Shower Nov. 1 ' Mrs. Carma Mathews, a recent re-cent bride, was entertained at a miscellaneous shower last Saturday Sat-urday afternoon at the ward chapel. The following program was presented: song, "The Loveliest Love-liest Night of the Year." by Jo-Ann Jo-Ann Goodrich; jokes. Berniecc Atwood; song, "A Dream is a Wish, Jean Seeley: reading, Why Didn't You Tell Me," bv Marilyn Jennings. Games were played and icecream ice-cream and cookies were served to 33 guests. Amending from ou't-of-town were Mrs. Anna Murray and Mrs. Agnes Mecharh arid her two daughters, Jean and Lorraine, Lor-raine, all of Myton. Mrs. Mary Lisonbee is visiting visit-ing in Logan with her daughter Mrs. Florence Williams. Carma. Gloria, and Paul Atwood At-wood were hosts at a costume Hallowe'en party on Friday at 5 p. m. at their home. Games, a program and a shadow show formed the evening's entertainment. entertain-ment. Punch and , cookies, witches wit-ches brew and crackers were served to Sharon Ann and Gene Barrett, Janet Seeley. Rebecca, Doug and Alhona Barlow; Carolyn, Car-olyn, Ralph and Owena Goodrich. Good-rich. Nolan Larsen, Maurine Stevenson, and the hosts. Mrs. Buddy Bird, of Duchesne, Du-chesne, visited Saturday afternoon after-noon with Mr. and Mrs. James Bird. Arthur Merrell, of Salt Lake City, and LaVoir Merrell, of Orem, visited Saturday with their sister, Mrs. Lucille Winkler Wink-ler and other members of the familv. HAVE DIFFERENT PARTY The first Intermediate Sunday Sun-day School Class gave a Hallowe'en Hal-lowe'en party Friday at 5 p. m This party was just a little different dif-ferent than the usual trick or, treat affair. Instead the children visited the older families in the ward and left a basket of treats with them. Later they gathered at the home of their teacher, j Mrs. Marilyn Jennings and played play-ed games and had their treats. All said lt was the best Hallowe'en Hal-lowe'en ever. Taking part in the fun were Jean Seeley, Jean Remington, Lloyd Murray, Chad Winkler, Clara Stevenson. Morris Goodrich, Good-rich, LaRee and Kirk Larsen, Karen Clark and Mary Lee Lisonbee, Lis-onbee, and their teacher, Mrs. Marilyn Jennings. The Farmers Daughters 4-H Club and their leader, Mrs. Laura Lau-ra Seeley, were among the 4-H clubs to receive their achievement achieve-ment awards at Roosevelt 01 Saturday. Nov. 1. Mrs. Essie Lambert also attended the program. pro-gram. Hollis Hullinger, of Roosevelt, Roose-velt, was in Bluebell Saturday on business. Bruce Goodrich, who is attending at-tending school at the A. C. ;n Logan, spent the weekend at home with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Goodrich. Bruce had to register with his draft board at Duchesne since he is now 18. |
