Show Shower At Chapel honors Bride Mrs. Fannie Todd. Minnie Angus and Norma Johnson entertained en-tertained a group of ladies at the chapel, Saturday afternoon, for a shower for Mrs. Sanford Butcher. The teachers from the Alterra school went to Vernal after school on Thursday to attend a meeting. Mrs. Pearl Jenkins, who has spent some time in Salt Lake City, where she has been receiving re-ceiving medical care, is now home. A few of the younger children of the Alterra school presented a program over KJAM at v Vernal Ver-nal on Friday afternoon. Mrs. Nadie Surgeon and Mis? Hannah Han-nah Richards accompanied them. Mrs. J. F. Showell. of Salt Lake City, spent several days last week helping to care for her mother, Mrs. Julia Kettle. The M I.A. officers had charge of a Hallowe'en dance at Ballard Bal-lard last Tuesday evening. Mrs. David Lundberg presented present-ed the Social Science lesson in Relief Society on .Tuesday, in place of Mrs. Ardis Kettle, who was busy in her registration work at her home. A cottage meeting was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gardner one night last week. Miss Dorothy Ellertson, of Roosevelt, spent last weekend at Provo. attending the Homecoming Homecom-ing at the B.Y.U. Frank Bingham, who' is attending at-tending school at the A.C. in Logan, spent the weekend at the j home of his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bingham. Mr and Mrs. Marvin Kettle and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Betts took Mrs. Elsie Secrest to Price on Tuesday, from where she would go to her home in Moab for a week. Fireside chat was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ned Gines on Monday night for ths Explorers and Mia Maids. Glenn Womack and Lvnn Bracken were in from the BYU at Provo over the weekend. Residents of ' Ballard really turned out well for registration during the last two days. A few still let the days slip by and were not able to vote. Mrs. Lawrence Brighton held a party in her Primary class on Tuesday. Attending from here were Betty Iorg, Shirley Iorg, Gayle Williams, Jon Rogers, Robert Iorg, Donald Durfey. Laura Potts, lone Mitchell, Nona Mitchell, Mit-chell, Carma Fausett, Lemo WU liams and Dixie Williams. HALLOWE'EN PARTY The Upalco Ward Mutual held a Hallowe'en Party in the wara Hall Tuesday night, Oct. 28 There were many fine costumes with first and second prizes being be-ing given to two officers, Miss Laura Potts and Miss lone Mitchell. Mit-chell. Third prize was given to Lemo and Dixie Williams. Refreshments were served. Mrs. Maggie Mitchell is visiting vis-iting with friends and relatives in Idaho for a few weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Ricks and small son made a trip to Salt Lake during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Sharon Cum-mings Cum-mings and children, of Roosevelt, Roose-velt, visited with Mr. and Mrs. i Fred Cummings and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Cummings Sundsy afternoon. Moon Lake Stake Conference Confer-ence was held at Mt. Emmons Ward Hall Sunday, Nov. 2. Attending At-tending from here were Mr. and Mrs. E. L.
