Show fteewefi Clubs Form Permanent Unit To Plan Swimming Pool Project; Impetus Gomes From Commercial Club Fifteen representatives of Roosevelt's service clubs, churches church-es and schools last Friday night voted unanimously that a swimming swim-ming pool for this area is one of the musts. Not only did they dis cuss the needs and how the problem might be solved, but they selected seven men and women to serve as an executive committee to further study the nroiect and explore many ideas voiced at the meeting. . The committee is composed of Gordon Harmston, Chamber of Commerce president: Marion A. Harrison, president of Union High and Duchesne County school boards; L. F. Hutchings, principal of Union High; Mrs. Robert Montgomery, president of Junior Culture; C. N. Memmott, Mem-mott, Russel Todd and Mrs. J. V. McLea. Mr. Harmston was selected as temporary chairman and Mr. Memmott as secretary. Thev will serve until the first meeting meet-ing of the committee on Monday, Mon-day, Dec. 1. at Union High School, at which tim a permanent per-manent organization will be effected. |
