Show Icmble-lisng Home Seresnony Unites Couple A beautiful double-ring ceremony cere-mony on Friday, November 7. at 6 p. m., united in marriage Miss Joann Holgate, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Holgate, or Arcadia, and Kenneth Wavr..-walker, Wavr..-walker, son of Mr. and Mrs J. D. Walker, Roosevelt. The wedding took place at the A. Hale Holgate home in Arcadia, with Mr. Holgate. president pres-ident of the Duchesne LD3 Stake, performing the ceremony . The lovely brunette bride da-signed da-signed her own gown, which was a redingote style of heavy white satin with a fitted bodir-o and a deep V neckline edged with lace. The long sleeves, tapering to points at the wrist were also edged with matching lace, and the full skirt fell to a short train at the back with the front opening the full length to reveal a Chantilly lace underskirt under-skirt Her fingertip veil of bride's illusion cascaded from a braided band of satin and seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of white carnations and pink rose-i buds. Attending the bride as maid of honor was her sister. Miss Cleo Holgate, with Miss Gwen Holgate, a sister, Miss Pauline Larsen, Miss Vivian Larsen and i Miss Joan Walker, a cousin of the groom, as bridesmaids. All wore formal gowns in harmonizing harmon-izing shades of white, pink, blue, lavender and green and carried nosegays of pink rosebuds, rose-buds, surrounded by tiny white mums. Performing best man duties was Keith Walker, brother of the groom. Mother of the bride was attired at-tired in a black and gold afternoon af-ternoon dress and had a corsage of red rosebuds. The groom's mother wore a black afternoon ensemble accented with a pink rosebud corsage. Following the ceremony, a supper was held for the bridal group. The table, which was covered with a white lace cloth, was centered with a beautiful three-tier wedding cake, topped with the traditional miniature bride and groom, and tall white tapers weTe at either end of the table. Mrs. Jack Goodrich, Miss Merlynn Ross, and Miss Marilyn Zirker had charge of the dining room. The newlyweds left for a short honeymoon trip, the bride choosing a grey suit with black accessories for her going-away outfit. Upon their return they were feted at a reception and dance in the Arcadia Ward Hall. Many lovely gifts were received from the large crowd of relatives and friends at the-social event which was held Monday. November 10. The gift room was in charge of Mrs. Grace Larsen and Mrs Jack Goodrich. The bride and groom will make their home for the present in Worland, Wyoming. |
