Show P-TA Meeting. Social Held Nov. 22 P-TA meeting was held at Al-tamont Al-tamont on Saturday, Nov. 22. It consisted of a program, a busi- ness meeting, recreation and refreshments. re-freshments. The program was a one-act play put on by members of the 9th grade English class In the cast were Lila Oman. Marvin Thompson, Jack Brotherson, Ruth Allred, and Ross Berrett. who substituted for Val McDonald, McDon-ald, and Sharleen Young, who substituted for Ann Boswell. Following the play, the group sang community fun songs, under un-der the direction of Mrs. Orrie Cook. The main speaker was Mrs. Arietta Williams, of Duchesne, elementary school supervisor, who spoke on the subject, "How Can Parents Help Their Children Chil-dren With Their School Work." The remainder of the evening was spent in recreational dances and games, with refreshments being served at 10:30. Denny Gardner, of Vernal, was a weekend guest of Don Evans Ev-ans and his family. Mr. and Mrs. David Gailey entertained Mr. Gailey's parents over the weekend. The elder Gaileys are from Syracuse Mr. and Mrs. Dean Collard, of Huntington, visited with Mr. and Mrs Lynden Hansen and Mr. and Mrs. Evan Hansen on Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Bennion and Mr.- and Mrs. Lloyd Crosby were in Mt. Emmons Saturday and Sunday of last week to visit with their folks. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Goodrich, of Salt Lake, ' werp weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Monson and family. Ed Crosby, Mrs. Esther Boswell. Bos-well. Mrs. Grant Hansen. Mrs. Glen Ames, Earl Case and Cloyd Powell attended the Sunday School Convention in Duchesne last Sunday. The Bishopric has announced that commencing Sunday evening. eve-ning. November 30. a choir will be organized for the ward. Rehearsals Re-hearsals will be held at 8:30 each Sunday evening. Everyone interested is invited to attend. |
