Show Ballard Ellen Bracken Dr. and Mrs. Guy Lewis, of Seattle, Wash., were recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Leland Angus. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Cook and baby, and Dorson Long visited last week with relatives in Springville. Bishop and Mrs. Golden Collins Col-lins and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Betts were among those who went to Provo Sunday to attend the testimonial for Leonard McKay, Mc-Kay, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orson McKay, who will leave soon on a mission to England. Mrs. Sarah Norton, Mrs. Rulon Rul-on Rasmussen, of Lapoint, and Lamar Norton, of Clearfield, visited Monday with Mrs. Wilma Bingham. Eric Stolla, employed on the Azores Islands, has been hospitalized hospit-alized for three weeks with pneumonia according to word received this week. John Cook went to Salt Lake during the week for a medical check-up. Mrs. Russel Todd visited Monday Mon-day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Niles Haslem, of Ashley, while Mr. Todd attended a meeting meet-ing of the school board. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kettle, of Verdugo City, Calif., were recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Kettle. Mrs. Garn Bodily, of Salt Lake, a daughter of Mrs. Pearl Jenkins, fell recently and broke a leg. Mrs. John Page and children returned last week from a visit in Payson with her mother, Mrs. Charlotte Bartholomew. Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Pool and small daughter, and Virginia Vir-ginia Pool, of Salt Lake, spent the weekend with Mrs. Pool's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Bracken. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Bracken and son visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Cook. Mrs. Pearl Jenkins, Ellen Bracken, Julia Kettle, Minnie Angus, Fannie Todd, Vida Betts, and Osa Hullinger met Tuesday to clean the Relief Society room and kitchen at the ward chapel. They enjoyed a pot-luck dinner at noon. John Cook and son, Wayne, motored to Rangely to spend Father's Day with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Westwood. Mrs. Wendel Johnson, Mrs. Marvin Kettle, Mrs. Ollie Rasmussen, Ras-mussen, Keith Todd, Mrs. Fred Cook and Cecil Jenkins, attended attend-ed some sessions of the MIA convention in Salt Lake last weekend. Arthur Wiscombe visited in Springville last week. Dale Hayes, Barbara Hullinger Hullin-ger and Marie Eldredge were among those attending the musical mus-ical convention at Logan. Myrtle Collins and Phyllis White, recent Alterra graduates, are working in Vernal. |
