Show Crochet Contest To Feature M County Fair The search is on once again for the nation's top crocheters. Somewhere today two crochet-ers crochet-ers are busy wielding crochet hooks creating entries for the 11th annual Nationwide Crochet Cro-chet Contest and before the end oi ine year uiey win oe proclaimed King and Queen of Crochet. Who tney are remains to be discovered. But one of them may very well be you. The Nationwide Crochet Contest Con-test is fun for all because to enter it you do what you most enjoy doing crochet. Even if you don't win a share of the $2500 national prize money, you'll have the satisfaction of having made a lovely crocheted piece that 'you can long treasure. treas-ure. The contest is being sponsored locally by the Duchesne County Fair, which will be held Sept. 5 and 6. You will take your first step toward the championship champion-ship by entering your crocnetea piece in the Needlework Department De-partment of the Fair. Then, if your entry is awarded a special Nationwide Crochet Contest blue riobon at the Fair, it will become eiigiole to be judged in the national finals which will take place next November. There are sixteen classifications classifica-tions in the contest, so you are free to make just about anj-ming anj-ming you would like to crochet. However, all entries must be crocheted of mercerized crochet cotton and must have been completed com-pleted in 1952. Tnere are classifications class-ifications for tablecloths, beet-spreads, beet-spreads, doilies, potholders, fashion fa-shion accessories, wall panels, luncheon sets, buffet sets, household house-hold accessories, centerpieces, chair sets, edgings and doii clothes. The doll clothes class ification is new in the contest this year and will be welcomed by the many crocheters who enjoy en-joy making colorful wardrobes for dolls. Then, of course, there 1 are three special categories for Men Only, Teen-Age Girls, and Ladies Over 65. Additional national prize I money for this special category amounts to $500. So, don't delay start your entry today.
