Show Duchesne County Spent 42 Of Its Annual 1952 Budget By June 30th Only 42 per cent of the 1952 budget for Duchesne County had been spent through June 30, as shown on the monthly budget bud-get report prepared by Porter L. Merrell. Duchesne county clerk and ex-officio auditor. Total budget set up was $174,700.00 for the year; $72,-577.86 $72,-577.86 was expended the first half of 1952, leaving a balance in all funds amounting to $102,-122.14. $102,-122.14. In the general fund, 42 per cent of the $67,400.00 budgeted was used, or $28,622.53. leaving a $38,777 balance. Two budgets in the general account were listed overdrawn in the June budget report. This was the insurance and the agriculture agri-culture inspector budgets. Only $1,000.00 was set up for insurance in-surance in the 1952 budget, but a $1,684.04 expenditure had been made for this protection as of June 30. The budget for the agriculture inspector was adopted for $400.00 Purchase of new office furniture, which was not considered in the budget request re-quest to the county commission- ers last fall, has depleted the budget, showing a $85.13 deficit de-ficit during the first six months. Exhibits and advertising fund is shown to be $407.00 deficient. I A $1,500.00 budget was listed, I but expansion of the facilities 1 for the 1952 Duchesne County air has depleted the fund. I Balances shown in other funds are $53,281.29 in the county-roads; county-roads; $1,751.91 in the poor and indigent; $2,000.00 for airport; $1,166.57 for agriculture agent; $5,401.90 for noxious weed con-, con-, trol; $350.00 for Colorado River I Development. In addition to the county road I expenditures amounting to $31,718.71, $24,667.59 was cx- l pended from the special road account total of $49,342.14. This special fund is classed as "B" road funds derived from the sale of license plates for motor vehicles and allocated by ' the State Road Commission. |
