Show Myton Envoys To Boys State Return The three boys from Myton who attended Boys State at Camp Williams from July 7 to 18, returned home Saturday with enthusiastic praise for the American Legion program and the training they received. The boys were Johnny Jor-genson, Jor-genson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Spike Jorgenson; Norman Tanner, Tan-ner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tanner; and Donald Burris, son of Mr., and Mrs. Don Burris. Mrs. Lydia Peatross, who has been visiting her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Roberts, in Provo, returned home Thursday. Mrs. Roberts recently underwent a serious heart operation but was sufficiently suf-ficiently recovered to make the trip from Provo to Myton, spending the day here. Her son Stewart remained for a visit with his uncle, Bill Peatross and family, while their daughter, daugh-ter, Loretta Peatross went to Provo -with Mrs. Roberts, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Lena Thompson. Thomp-son. Albert Tanner, who has been receiving medical attention in Salt Lake City, returned home Thursday greatly improved. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Hamilton j have received word from their son, Steve, Jr., that he is now stationed at Barsto Marine Bas-J in California. He recently , was advanced from private first class to the rank of corporal. Steve entered the service in January. Jan-uary. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wood-ard Wood-ard and two daughters are expected ex-pected home this week from n 2-week visit in Oregon. Mrs. W. R. Harris returned home Saturday from a week's stay in Salt Lake City. She had the opportunity to visit Boys State at Camp Williams while away, accompanying Mr. and Mrs. Roland Krebs. Norman Tanner returned Friday Fri-day evening from Boys State, where he had spent eleven days. He reported a very enjoyable time. Sunday his parents motored mo-tored to Camp Williams to visit him during visitors day there. Their daughter, Arva, who i; working in Salt Lake, drove down with them. |
