Her guest list ' included Mrs. Floyd Lamb, of Roosevelt, Mrs. Wm. Preece, Mrs. W. H. Linck, Mrs. Rex ! Lamb, Mrs. James Dalgleish, !Mrs. Wm. R. Harris and Mrs. Ted Thomas. High score was won by Mrs. Linck. Easter Picnic Attracts Crowd An Easter picnic was enjoyed Sunday afternoon in lower Pleasant Valley when a crowd of about 80 persons gathered to celebrate. A special course at the picnic dinner was a barbecued lamb which was roasted to perfection. Everyone arrived with some delicacy to add to the feast, which was served on the rock plateau surrounding a natural amphitheater. Space for two volleyball courts and one soft-ball soft-ball diamond was arranged, and the snappy games furnished entertainment en-tertainment for the spectators as well as for the participants. Arrangements were under the i able supervision of Mr. and Mrs. lAntone Uresk, Mr. and Mrs. George Wedig and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Peatross. and many eager hands helped share the work to make the event an oc- I casion long to be remembered. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Todd and family, Mr. and Mrs. Giles Wood and sons, Mr. and Mrs. George Funk and daughter. Mrs. Andrew Tolboe, Jimmy and Clark Nebeker were members of an Easter picnic party who "njoyed a delicious lunch in Pleasant Valley Sunday afternoon. after-noon. A. C. E. Burton spent a few days in Salt Lake City this week attending to business - matters and visiting at the home of Mr. nnd . Mrs. Bernard Biltz. Mrs. Burton has been visiting at the Biltz home for a week and remained re-mained for a longer stav. Uintah County Sheriff Sny-der. Sny-der. of Vernal, was a Myton visitor Thursday. Mrs. Lydia Peatross, who has been visiting at the home of Mr and Mrs. Loyal Perrv in Salt Lake City, returned home last week. She was accompanied by her son, Pvt. Max Peatross, who enjoyed a short furlough here before returning to his station at Fort Benning. Ga. Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Roberts and children, of Provo. spent the Easter week-end visiting Mrs. Roberts mother, Mrs. Lydia Peatross, and her brother. Wm. Peatross in Myton, and at the home of her sister, Mrs. Paul Krause. in Ft. Duchesne. James Dalgleish and Blaine B r o k a w accompanied District Commander William Sutteer, of Ft. Duchesne, to Salt Lake City Saturday to attend the 32nd birthday anniversary party of the American Legion held at the Newhouse hotel Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Vern Edwards returned last week from a trip to Salt Lake City. They were accompanied by Mr- Edward's mother, Mrs. A. E. Edwards, of Salt Lake City, who will visit here. Mr. and Mrs. Lucky Madsen and family, Viola Mott and Francis Fowler returned 'Saturday 'Satur-day from a visit in Provo and Orem. They were accompanied by Venice Fowler, who is attending at-tending high school at Provo: by Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Mace and children, of Provo: Mr. and Mrs. Alma Larsen and family, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Fowler and family, of Orem: and Mr. and Mrs. Theo Aston and children, of Linden, who spent the Easter week-end at the Earl Fowler and "Lucky" Madsen homes. Mrs. Vern Edwards and daughter, Carol Ann. and Mrs. A. E. Edwards went to Price Friday to visit and to attend a bridai shower. Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Orr, of Riverton, visited at the home of Miss Alice Todd, Sunday afternoon, after-noon, to extend Easter greetings greet-ings to Miss Todd and her father. fath-er. A. M. Todd. Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish were dinner guests at the home of Mrs. Dalgleish's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hart on Easter Sunday, where they enjoyed a visit with Mrs. Del Combs and son, Gary, who tame from Cow-drey, Cow-drey, Colorado, to spend Easter at the Hart home. Mrs. George Tanner, who spent the winter at the home of her daughter. Mrs. George Olsen, near Price, returned home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Thomas, Jr. and family, of Salt Lake City, were Easter week-end visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Thomas Sr. Miss Edith Nell Preece went to Salt Lake City last week to visit relatives and friends. Visitors at the ranch home of John Cronk are hia brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Cronk, of McCook. Neb. Mr. Cronk . recently sold his ranch property on South Myton bench and is considering moving to Nebraska to make his home with his brother. New arrivals in Myton to make their home is Mr. and Mrs. Harold Behunin and family, fam-ily, who moved here from Ken-ilworth Ken-ilworth last week. |
