Show , r I Duchesne County Lags Behind In Red Cross Drive "Duchesne county as a whole is lagging in meeting their Red Cross quota for 1951, and every effort should be expended by the people of the county to see that no suffering exists because we failed to respond to the roll call now in progress," is a statement state-ment made Monday by Mrs. Beryl Mullins. of Roosevelt, county roll call chairman. A quota of $856.00 was set for Duchesne county and since that time it has been anticipated anticipat-ed that a greater need now exists ex-ists than before, so those who have not yet made a contribution contribu-tion to the Red Cross are urged not to wait until someone contacts con-tacts them, but to send in what they feel they can spare to Mrs Mullins. at Roosevelt, or to Mrs. Arzy Mitchell, at Duchesne. According to Mrs. Mullins, the eastern part of the county has exceeded the quota set for them. It is evident many people in the western part of the county coun-ty have not been contacted by workers, which is the reason the suggestion is made to mail contributions in to Red Cross workers and chairmen. One of the major responsibilities responsibil-ities of the Red Cross is its continued service to the men in the Armed Forces. To maintain the morale of these servicemen, many of whom are away from home for the first time, the Red Cross must continue to provide a link with home. Won't you sit down right now and write a check and mail it to your county chairman or one of the other workers. |
