Show LIONS SUPPORT COURSE TO SELL UTAH The Roosevelt Lions club last week at their regular semimonthly semi-monthly meeting accepted the sponsorship of a project that will bring a short course in "Selling Utah to the Tourist Trade." According to Tommy Gabbert, newly appointed publicity pub-licity director for the Lions club, Wm. C. Winder, representative represen-tative of the state vocational department, was guest speaker at their meeting March 22. and discussed the program with the membership. Dates of the 4-hour course have been set for May 3 and 10, and will be held in the evening's of these two days, with each session scheduled for about two hours. According to Mr. Winder, the state has prepared a very comprehensive course of study and able instructors will tellUtahns how they can sell their state to the American.tour-ist. American.tour-ist. ' Other phases of the Lions meeting was hearing a report of the zone meeting and party held March 10 at the elementary school." This report was made by Ed Iabrum. A petition was brought before the club relative rela-tive to the proposed project of increasing the City of Roosevelt's Roose-velt's water supply by calling a bond election. The club voted to sign the petition both as a club and as individual members. Miss Esther Wogec entertained entertain-ed with two vocal solos, accompanied accom-panied by Clyde Johnson. |
