Show SOCIETY Peggy Oldroyd, Society Reporter CELEBRATES 83rd YEAR MT EMMONS Mrs. Mary A. Case celebrated her 83rd birthday anniversary Tuesday, January 31, with a small family fam-ily party at her home. Celebrating the occasion1 with Mrs. Case were Mr. and Mrs. Gardner Goodrich and Mrs. Wallace Wal-lace Seeley, Bluebell; Mr. and Mrs. Leslie N. Pearson, Boneta; and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Case, Earl Case, Mrs. Mary C. Snyder and Mrs. Morris Monson, Mt. Emmons. BRIDGETTE Adding a touch of brightness to these brisk February days was the delicious chicken supper sup-per at which Mrs. Orson Stevens Stev-ens entertained members of Bridgette club at her home last Thursday evening. Covers were laid for twelve. Following supper, tables were arranged for bridge. Prizes were won by Mrs. Ned Bellon. Mrs. Parley Rawlings, Mrs. Johnnie Cook and Mrs. Elmer Eldredge. NEIGHBORHOOD SEWING A tempting salad course supper sup-per and an evening of sewing provided relaxation for members mem-bers of Neighborhood Sewing club when they met February 1 at the home of Mrs. George Hacking. Her guest list numbered eight. ALTRUS Mrs. R. V. Larson and Mrs. Lewis Jensen were hostesses when members of Altrus club met at the Larson residence Thursday evening, February 2. Mrs. Axel Birch, president, conducted the business portion of the meeting. Fourteen members mem-bers answered roll call with a current event. A special feature of the evening eve-ning was Mrs. Paul Nelson's review of the book "How To Be' A Real Person," by Henry Em-merson Em-merson Fosdick. A dessert luncheon was served. SOCIALETTE Mrs. Weldon Richman and Miss Charlene Bellon were hostesses host-esses to Socialette club at the Richman residence Thursday evening, February 2. The meeting was called to order or-der by Mrs. Kelly Sprouse, club president, and applications for membership were voted on. Names of new members will be announced at the next regular meeting. A special educational feature was presented by Mrs. Edward Yack on proper skin care and use of make-up. Luncheon was served to nine members and guests. FORMER BASIN RESIDENT WEDS IN SAN FRANCISCO Announcement is made this week of the marriage of Miss Mable Ann Weeks, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Weeks, of San Francisco, former Roosevelt Roos-evelt residents, and Kenneth Richard Romick, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Romick, of Richmond Annex, California. The nuptials were performed Wednesday evening, February 1 in the Berkeley LDS church. Following a honeymoon trip to Donnor Lodge, the young couple will make their home in San Francisco, where Mr. Romick Rom-ick will study architectural engineering en-gineering at the Cogswell Poly-I Poly-I technical school. Attending the wedding were Mrs. Sarah Johnson, of Roosevelt, Roos-evelt, grandmother of the bride, who is visiting her children in San Francisco, and Mrs. George Hawkins, daughter of Mrs. Pearl Swain, of Roosevelt. BIRTHDAY PARTY Keith Ivory, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ivory, celebrated his 6th birthday anniversary with a party at the family residence, resi-dence, Monday afternoon. Helping Keith to make this birthday one of his best was Phillip Hullinger, Marie' Peterson. Pet-erson. Diane Winterton, Michell Lyman, Carl Larson. Pat Stewart, Stew-art, Jean Gilbert, Wilma Whitehead, White-head, Sydney Rockwood. Carol Felter, and Frosty Gilbert. Ice cream, punch and a beautiful beau-tiful birthday cake, frosted in pink and decorated with an array ar-ray of circus animals, was served at the close of the afternoon's after-noon's festivities. JUST-A-MERE Members of Just-A-Mere club were delightfully entertained Thursday evening, February 2, at the home of Mrs. J. C. Zimmerman. Zim-merman. A tempting dessert luncheon was served, after which three tables were arranged for bridge. Prizes went to Mrs. Reva Owen. Mrs. Elroy , Wilkins, and Mrs. Ervin Wardle. TUESDAY BRIDGE The Frontier Grill was the scene of gay festivities Tuesday evening when Mrs. Myrtle Lambert Lam-bert entertained members of her bridge club at a delightful supper. sup-per. Four tables of cards were at play during the evening, with prizes going to Mrs. Paul Wilkins Wil-kins and Mrs. Robert Huish. "BIFF" CELEBRATES Three glowing pink candles on a beautiful pink and white birthday cake, set the scene for festivities at the Ned Bellon residence, Tuesday afternoon when little Kyle "Biff" Bellon celebrated his birthday anniversary. anniver-sary.
