Good Construction Gives Satisfactory Wear Whether blouses are bought or made at home, they should be well constructed to give satisfactory as well as comfortable wear. A blouse which requires constant mending soon becomes too much of an effort ef-fort to keep in condition and will end in the deep recesses of the closet. Make certain that buttons are securely sewed. Buttons should also al-so be well constructed so they can go through their frequent washings and cleanings without losing their finish. : Hooks, snaps and eyes should all be well put in place so you don't have to be mending the blouse before be-fore the first wearing. See that the fabric has a firm and even weave, and that there are no weak spots in the garment. The fit of the blouse has a lot to do with how much wear it will give, too, so it should not be too snug, especially if it's going to do every day duty. Regular Cleaning Provides Longer Wear for Togs Whether you plan to wash the blouse at home or have it dry cleaned, plan regular care for the blouse if you want to get full service serv-ice from it. When clothes become too soiled, they require more strenuous stren-uous cleaning than ordinarily and this, of course, may shorten their life considerably. Washable blouses may be kept crisp, fresh and spotless with a minimum of effort if they are done after one wearing. |
