Show Ballard Ellen Bracken The small child of Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Squire fell from a bed Tuesday morning and broke a bone in its shoulder. Eric Stolla. employed in the Azores Islands for over a year, plans to leave Feb. 8 for a visit at home. Mrs. Ernest Betts spent Mon. with her ill mother, Mrs. Mary Collins of Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Jenkins and family and Mrs. Pearl Jen kins and Junior spent Sunday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ly.rad McConkie, of Mt. Emmons. Mrs. McConkie was celebrating her birthday. Newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Weldon Ross, are making their home in the basement apartment of the Stanley home. Mrs. Frank Mecham and small daughters returned Monday from Provo, where Mrs. Mecham Me-cham had been called by the illness ill-ness of her mother. Angus Anderson and son, Le Roy, left Tuesday morning to visit relatives in Dragerton. Mrs. A. W. Seeley went to Whiterocks Friday to help her son Cloyd, while Mrs. Seeley is Mr. and Mrs. Von Simpers and family, of Vernal, have moved to the Church Welfare farm recently vacated by the Rulon Andertons. Mrs. Pearl Jenkins has been visiting at the Roosevelt hospital 'with her son, Charles. Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Smith and family were dinner guests Sunday at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Parrish. Barbara Irmen has left to enroll en-roll in a California school. She was a senior at Alterra high. Relief Society has four sets of visiting teachers who have made 100 per cent visits. They are Osa Hullinger and , Fannie Todd. Evelyn Brighton and Minnie Min-nie Angus. Dorothy Kettle and Florell Collins, Erna Stolla and Ellen Bracken. Ballard was well represented at the Stake Welfare meeting held at Roosevelt Saturday evening, eve-ning, and at Sunday's Stake conference. con-ference. Mr. and M'-s. Jesse Butcher and son. Sanford, were dinner guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Butcher. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Butoher and family, of Roosevelt, were also guests. Mrs. LaRue Pickup and daughter, Velma. spent Saturday with Mrs. Pickup's parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Coston. |
