Show Mrs. Ethel Beeba Shirley Maxfield Married May 1st The wedding of Miss Shirley Maxfield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glendon Maxfield, of Al-tonah, Al-tonah, and Cpl. Clifton Richens, son of Mrs. Melvina Richens, of Vernal, has been announced. The ceremony was performed by Bishop J. Arthur Timothy at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Fisher, Jr., Friday evening, May 1st at 9 P-m. Best man was Grant Richens, a brother of the groom, and Kathleen Maxfield, a sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. hon-or. Mother of the groom wore a lovely afternoon dress of peacock pea-cock blue taffeta and the bride's mother wore a dress of carmel tan gabardine. Refreshments were served to 50 members of the families. The young couple honeymooned honey-mooned in Vernal, Ogden and Rangely, Colo. Cpl. Richens is in the service and is stationed at Ft. Lewis, Washington. He has served in Japan, but will be discharged from the service in June. The new Mrs. Richens is going go-ing to Washington with her husband. hus-band. They are planning on making their home in Ogden when he is out of the service. Mr. and Mrs. Charley Timothy Timo-thy and family, Lavern Wall, Mr. and Mrs. Von Timothy and sons, of Bonanza, spent the weekend with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Bowden and daughters, of Gusher, spent Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Bowden. V. L. Woodward, of Provo, was in Altonah visiting friends, Sunday. Mrs. Mary Swasey, of Boneta, visited with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. George Carroll, several days during ing the week. Mrs. Dora Bird and family moved to Mt. Emmons Sunday into' the Heber Timothy house. Those from Altonah- taking part in the band concert at Price, recently were, Willard Bowden, Grant Mohlman, Ronald Ron-ald Powell, Walker Reese, Donal Kolb, Ernie Riley, Bonnie Ann Ames. Florence Weeks and Cleo Clark were banner carriers. Mrs. Marian Reese accompanied the group. Mr. and Mrs. Tony Flemetis, of Price, old time residents of Altonah, were greeting friends in town, Sunday. |
