Show 1 School Program Climaxes Christmas Affair The annual Christmas program, pro-gram, "Everywhere, Everywhere Christmas Tonight," was the theme of the annual Christmas program, presented by the Roosevelt Roos-evelt elementary school children chil-dren Thursday, Dec. 21. under the direction of the faculty members, assisted by Mrs. Ben-nie Ben-nie Schmiett, who had charge of all music for the production. The outstanding program was enjoyed by a capacity crowd, with parents standing in the rear of the hall and in the aisles to witness the activity. At the climax of the event Santa Claus arrived to distribute distrib-ute treats to all the children. The program commenced with a toe dance number by Ann Murphy, third grade pupil, who announced the various scenes throughout the evening. Portrayal of Christmas in foreign for-eign lands was demonstrated as follows: Holland, Mrs. Lillian Wilkerson's first grade; Norway, Nor-way, Mrs. Ardella Mitchell's first grade; Germany, Mrs. Dorothy Dor-othy Walker's third grade; Old England, Mrs. Ida Harrison's second grade; Mexico, Mrs. Cleone Robinson's third grade; and Italy, Mrs. Olive Chugg's second grade. Christmas carols sung' by the fourth, fifth and sixth grades, under the direction of Mrs. Duane Buchanan, added further to the outstanding entertainment. en-tertainment. Parents and guests were welcomed wel-comed by Principal John Blaine and short remarks concerning the home decorating contest were given by Rev. Charles , Ray, general chairman of the Community Christmas commit- tee. Much credit is due all those assisting with the program, especially es-pecially the teachers, who spent much time and effort teaching' the children the dances and customs cus-toms of the various countries. Appreciation was also extended the parents for their cooperation coopera-tion in making the costumes The following day. during the noon hour at the elementary elemen-tary school, the faculty members were feted at a buffet luncheon lunch-eon and exchanged gifts.
