Show 7 is Week's RECIPE . . . Jellied Shrimp Salad is a 1 favorite recipe of Mrs. Kenneth j Aycock, who shares it with you to try for your special party. It is very colorful as well as delicious. JELLIED SHRIMP SALAD 1 tbs. unflavored gelatin V cup cold water 1V6 cups tomato juice 2 tbs. vinegar dash of salt 1 cup canned shrimp Vi cup diced celery V cup grated green pepper a few diced green onions Soften gelatin in cold water. Dissolve over hot water. Add to cold tomato juice, lemon lem-on juice, vinegar and salt, and chill. When it begins to thicken, add remaining ingredients. Pour into mold and set. Whip Vz cup cream until stiff. Fold in small curd cottage cheese until mixture is thick (almost a small carton). ' Spread on top of salad and chill. Slice stuffed olives on top. Serve on lettuce leaf. Cottage cheese may be eliminated and plain salad dressing1 used as a "opping if desired. |
