Show Proposal To End Fruitland Town Suggested It has been suggested by the Duchesne County Commission that proper steps be taken to abandon the Fruitland townsite. Such action would be of material mater-ial benefit to land owners who are quieting title to their land in this townsite. . The Duchesne County Commissioners Com-missioners are promoting the calling of an annual meeting of the Duchesne County Water Users Us-ers Association. H. L. Allred of Roosevelt, president of the organization, or-ganization, is being asked to take this action. Recently A. Hale Holgate, vice-president of the group and Louis A. Jensen, association secretary, gave a short history and outlined the purpose of this organization at a meeting of the county board. They explained that it was organized or-ganized five years ago' for the purpose 'of promoting the Central Cen-tral Utah Project and to protect the water rights of the people of Duchesne County, as well as making approval of small loans from the Utah Water and Power Board. |
