Show Boy Scout PROCLAMATION WHEREAS, February 8, 1953 is the 43rd anniversary of lhe founding of the Boy Scouts of America, chartered by the Congress of the United States, as a program i0r all the boys of America, and WHEREAS, the Boy Scout Program has affected the lives of 20.200,000 American boys and men since 1910, and now has an active enrollment of 3.500,000, and WHEREAS, the Movement is approaching the mid-point of its three-year program, "Forward On Liberty's Team" through which it seeks to provide a higher quality program for its ever-increasing b-oy membership, and WHEREAS, the Boy Scouts of America, a great force for training youth in right character and good cilizenshiD will hold its Third National Jamboree at Irvine Ranch in southern California this coming summer; NOW THEREFORE, I, Floyd E. Lamb, chairman of "county commissioners of Duchesne County, in the State f Utah, do hereby proclaim the week of February 7f, to 13th as "Boy Scout Week," and do urge our citUeni to recognize the patriotic service being rendered our county by the volunteer Scout Leaders, to expre their appreciation to the religious bodies, school at ganizations, veterans' associations, fraternal groups and' service clubs which sponsor our Cub Packs, Boy Sco t Troops and Explorer Units, and help Duchesne Couniv to be adequately represented at the great National Scout Jamboree this year. 1 IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto signed name officially and caused the Seal of Duchesne Coun fy to be affixed, this 24th day of January, 1953 (SEAL) FLOYD E.
