Mr. Johnson announced that he is attempting to organize a 100-piece band to perform during dur-ing the summer months, and has extended an invitation to all junior and senior high students who played, in the Roosevelt, Jr. High and Union High bands, as well as adults who still would like to play the instrument hi used to toot, to join the program. pro-gram. Several older persons have indicated they will be available for practice every Wednesday night at 7:30. All junior and senior high equip-, ment has been made available for summer use. The summer schedule for Mr. Johnson to give special instruction instruc-tion to school children is as follows: Lapoint - Mondays - 9:30 a. m. Tridell - Mondays - 1 p. mi Alterra - Tuesdays - 9:30 a. m; Neola - Tuesdays - 1 p. m. Roosevelt - Wednesdays - 8:30 Roosevelt - Wednesday - 9:30 1 a. m. to' 3 p. m. for Elemen- tary and Junior High students stu-dents who desire help. Advanced Band . Union High ,Vednesdays - 7:30 p. m. Myton - Thursdays - .9:30 a. m. The only expense on the part of the student or participant is $1;00; -which will be used entirely en-tirely for purchasing music. This is the first active music program pro-gram that has been carried on in the Roosevelt area for a long time, and results are promised by Mr. Johnson if cooperation is given. |
