Show Logan Bound .... Roosevelt Girls State Envoys Supported By Service Groups; The Roosevelt American Le-. gion Auxiliary, Basin Post 64, nas selected two delegates to k attend the annual Girls State in Logan, which opens June 8 and lasts the full week, or to June 15. Miss Joanne Todd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.' Russel Todd, of Ballard, and Miss Carolyn Whiting, Whit-ing, Neola, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Whiting, are being sponsored jointly by the Auxiliary, Aux-iliary, Kiwanis Club, Junior Culture Club, Socialette and Roosevelt Business and Professional Profes-sional Club. Both girls recently completed their junior years at Union High School, and have been very active in school affairs and , in their church. Each entered 1 the recent L D S Seminary declamation dec-lamation contest, with Miss ' Whiting being chosen the top : girl contestant in a program, with Miss Todd a close runner-up. runner-up.
