Show Shower Honors Young Couple Mrs. Thelma McKenna and Mrs. Lila Richens entertained Saturday night at a shower for Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Richens. Th.-; evening was spent square dancing. danc-ing. The bride and groom received many beautiful and useful gifts. Refreshments were served to a large crowd. The hew Mr. and Mrs. Richens Rich-ens are making their home in Arcadia. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird and daughters were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Clair Duncan at Neola. Charlie Bird, Howard Gilbert, Lois Turpening, Elsie Bird, Bessie Bes-sie Lusty, Oro Holgate and Vivian Viv-ian Larsen attended Mutual leadership meeting at Duchesne Thursday night. Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Lusty made a business trip to Salt Lake during the week. Mrs. Charlie Bird. Delaine and Mildred Bird attended the bridal shower for Mrs. Mildred (Tanner) Bowen, at Myton on Monday. Mrs. Pearl Zirker and Mrs. Fern Zirker were dinner guests Wednesday of Mrs. Helen Smith. Mrs. Leah Richens and son, Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Cal Cook, of Park City, spent Decoration Dec-oration Day with Mrs. Cynthia Larsen. Mr. and Mrs. Leland McKenna, McKen-na, of Provo, visited Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cliff McKenna Other visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Richens, Rich-ens, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Richens. Rich-ens. of Salt Lake; Mr. and Mrs. William Logan, of Clearfield. Mr. and Mrs. Art Moon and daughter, Maretta, of Salt Laka attended the shower for Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Richens Saturday niPht. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Hair, of Salt Lake, spent the weekend at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Loryn Ross. They also visited relatives at Mt. Emmons and Duchesne. Mrs. Barbara Ross accompanied ac-companied them to Duchesne and Mt. Emmons. Clairine Duncan, of Neola, spent the weekend with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird. Mrs. Pearl Zirker entertained at a dinner Thursdav niht in honor of Miss Marylin Zirker. Present were Pauline Larsen, Delaine Bird, Ellen Gilbert, Franklin Peterson. Lesrrand and Nancy Gilbert. Following dinner din-ner the groun attended th? show and then returned to enjoy Ice cream and cake. Mrs. Fern Zirker, Marilynn, Ardis and Carolee Zirker left Saturday for Moses Lake. Washington Wash-ington to make their home. Mrs. Bonnie DeGraff, of He-ber He-ber City, is spending a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Zirker. The Sunday School presented its evening program this week, under the direction of Supt. Charles Jensen. Mrs. Elsie Nielson and Mrs. Gladys Harris, of Myton, attended at-tended the social Tuesday in honor of Mrs. Fern Zirker. Norma Larsen, Mildred Bird, Leon Ross and Ronald Zirker went to Salt Lake with the Roosevelt Seminary graduating class. Ramona and Legrand Nielson. of Mvton, spent Sunday visiting relatives and friends. |
