Show nilS Plans Last Program, Ifay 9 The last of the series of programs pro-grams planned and prepared by the Roosevelt high school will be persented May 9 at the Roosevelt Roos-evelt Stake tabernacle. Many of the musical festival numbers will be presented to the public at this time. The program is expected to get underway at 7:30 p.m., with the RHS band marching from the high school to the tabernacle. The performances will start at 8 p. m., with vocal music directed di-rected by Barbara Lowe: "Prayer for Service," Gaul; Al-leluja," Al-leluja," Mozart; and "My Heart is a Silent Violin," by a double sextet; soprano solo, Beverly White; "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring," De-siring," Bach, double trio; and "God's Mountains," Swift; ''Joshua Fit the Battle of Jerico," Christy; and "The Lord Bless and Keep You," Lutkin, by the mixed chorus. Dan Whitbeck will present a humorous reading, "The Cat Came Back," by Black, at 8:40, followed by a piano solo, "Fan-tasie "Fan-tasie Impromptu," Chopin, by Larry Wilson at 8:45. After a ten-minute intermission intermis-sion at 8:50, the Roosevelt combined com-bined bands, under the baton of Jay Pond, will present "Hall of Fame" march, Ollvodotti; "American Folk Rhapsody," Grundman; "Enchanted Prince," Johnson; " "Simplicity," march, Loos; Instrumental solos by Carl Jensen, baritone; Dean Pond, clarinet; Carolyn Whiting, cornet; and a cornet trio by Miss Whiting, Jack Burgess, and Alen Glnes. Mr. Pond will conclude the program with the '"New School Song." |
