Show Ballard Ellen Bracken A number of the Elders and their wives enjoyed the Stake pot-luck party held April 27, in Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. S. Mann, of Vernal, visited one day last week at the Angus Anderson home. Mr. and Mrs. Louie Haddock and daughter, of Roosevelt, visited vis-ited Tuesday evening with Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Coston. Mr. and Mrs. Elton Kettle took their son, Douglas, to Salt Lake Tuesday to have the cast on his legs checked. Mrs. Pearl Jenkins rode out with them, and remained for a visit with relatives, Mr. and Mrs. Nlles Haslam and family, of Ashley, called on friends here and in Roosevelt, Roos-evelt, Sunday. Ward Bridges, recently released re-leased from the army, is visiting his sister, Mrs. Squire Mangum. A number of the Sunday School teachers ' attended the Stake Sunday School convention conven-tion Sunday in Roosevelt. Earl Winn spent the weekend here with his wife and family. Mrs. Pearl Jenkins spent last weekend in Mt. Emmons caring for the Lyrad McConkie children chil-dren while their parents were away. Mr. and Mrs. Niles Andrea-son Andrea-son and sons called Wednesday on friends in Alterra. Mr. An-dreason An-dreason is a former AH3 pritv cipal. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Pope were looking after their property pro-perty interests here. They have sold the house occupied by the Elton Kettle family, to Hugh Gagon, of Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. Ercil Johnson and family visited in Vernal Sunday afternoon. Mrs. E. C. Coston attended a social Thursday given by the W.M.S. of the Roosevelt Baptist Bap-tist church, held at the home of Mrs. Wllford Workman. Relief Society members enjoyed en-joyed a letter last week from Max Todd, now laboring in Finland. Fin-land. At the time the letter was written, Max had mastered the Finnish language well enough to participate in a church meeting. meet-ing. ! Mrs. W. B. Antonio and children, chil-dren, of Gallop, N. M., are visiting vis-iting Mrs. Antonio's aunt, Mrs. Maude Anderson. Mr. Antonio brought his family here, then returned re-turned home. Perry Butcher left April 23 for Salt Lake City, to receive further treatment at the Salt Lake Veterans hospital. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Anderson and family have returned to their farm south of Ballard. Mr. and Mrs. Hurley and Miss Weight, of Salt Lake City, visited Sunday a t Sacrament meeting, in connection with the Seminary work under Wendell Johnson. Several books were presented to students. Mr. and Mrs. Newt Miller and daughter, Orienne, and Willis Wil-lis Miller, of Montwel, visited Sunday with the E. C. Costons. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Saner and family, of Roosevelt, are moving' to the David Clark farm .west of Alterra. ' Orlan Cook visited last week with friends in Salt Lake. |
