Show SOCIETY Peggy Oldroyd, Society Reporter FIRESIDE CHAT Following church services Sunday evening, the Roosevelt Ward M-Men and Gleaher Girls gathered at the Ren Fenn residence resi-dence to enjoy a fireside as guests of Miss June Fenn. Mr. and Mrs. Omni Winter-ton Winter-ton and Mrs. Carma Winterton, former LDS missionaries, staged a street meeting to demonstrate how they were conducted in the mission field. Refreshments were served at the close of the evening, to Wendell Wen-dell Despain, Larry Wilson, Joyce McKenna, Phyllis Miller, Ruth Aitken, Lurrine Blan-chard, Blan-chard, Lorna Hamilton, Mona Ames. Paul Beardahl, Bob Ben-Bon, Ben-Bon, Donna Todd, Sharron An-derton, An-derton, Mr. and Mrs. Dwain Buchanan, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Pat Roberts, Rob-erts, Mrs. Robert Rallison, and Mr. and Mrs. Ren Fenn. JUST-A-MERE A temptingly arranged two-course two-course luncheon was featured at the Edgar Labrum residence last Thursday evening when Mrs. Labrum entertained members of Just-A-Mere club. Following luncheon, bridge provided relaxation for Mrs. Mrs. Richard Adams, Mrs. Reva Owen, Mrs. Farrell Wilkins, Mrs. Verlen Labrum, Mrs. Dar-rell Dar-rell Walker, Mrs. Ted Jensen, Mrs. Grant Killian, and Mrs. Clair Larsen. Prizes went to Mrs. Adams, Mrs. Wilkins, Mrs. Verlen Labrum La-brum and Mrs. Jensen. NEIGHBORHOOD SEWING Mrs. LaRue Laris extended hospitality Wednesday evening, April 26, at a lovely two-course luncheon at her home. Her guest list included Mrs. Guy Burton, Mrs. Louis Laris, Mrs. J. S. Rawlings, Mrs. Merlin Mer-lin Killpack, Mrs. Stanley Hall, Mrs. Llewelyn Jenkins, Mrs. Floyd Labrum, Mrs. Donald Laris, Lar-is, Mrs. Robert Hall and Ms. Neldon Nyberg. TUESDAY BRIDGE Bouquets of delicately shaded hyacinth formed the background of the decorative scheme when Mrs. Fred Ferron entertained the Tuesday Bridge club at her home on April 28. A dainty dessert luncheon was served at small tables, arranged with covers marked for Mrs. Vean Bair, Mrs. Myrtle Lambert. Lam-bert. Mrs. Morris Lewis, Mrs. Glenn Wyler, Mrs. J. V. McLea, Mrs. Clair Aghton, Mrs. Gordon Harmston, Mrs. Wayne Malin, Mrs. Lynn Orser, Mrs. Paul Wilkins, Wil-kins, Mrs. Sam Weiss, Mrs. Ray Jordan, Mrs. Eugene Harmston, Mrs. Howard Harrison, and Mrs. Lester Mullins. Four tables of cards were at play, following luncheon, with prizes being' won by Mrs. Eugene Eu-gene Harmston, Mrs. Gordon Harmston, and Mrs. McLea. Tuesday evening, May 2, Mrs. Eugene Harmston was hostess to members of the club at her home. Four tables were arranged for a tasty salad course luncheon, followed by cards. Bridge prizes were won by Mrs. Wayne Malin and Mrs. Myrtle Lambert. LADIES' FISH and GAME Regular meeting of the Roosevelt Roos-evelt Ladies' Fish and Game club was held Saturday evening, April 29, at the home of Mrs. Veda Labrum. Officers were elected as follows: fol-lows: Mrs. Ann Gardner, president pres-ident (re-elected); Mrs. Lena McDonald, Mc-Donald, vice president; nWrs. Lucille Lu-cille Wardell, secretary; Mrs. Jean Labrum, Mrs. Opal Dill-man, Dill-man, Mrs. Moselle McArthur. and Mrs. Betty Alexander, directors; di-rectors; and Mrs. Venice McDonald, McDon-ald, soft ball captain. A soft ball team is now being organized, and any women wishing wish-ing to play are requested to contact con-tact any of the club officers. Light refreshments were served to Mrs. Ethel Marchant, Mrs. Elva Patry, Mrs. Veda Labrum. La-brum. Mrs. Dicia Emert, and the above named officers. |
