Show I Planning Board ' Pushes Probe Of City Manager Plan Members of the city planning 'board held a thorough discus-ision, discus-ision, Friday night, of the city manager plan. A report of its feasibility, to be compiled by Cliff Fretwell, will be considered consid-ered by the board at its next meeting. A letter from Senator Arthur V. Watkins, relative to a possible pos-sible city mail delivery pro-pram, pro-pram, was read and discussed. Such a program, the discussion brought out, is dependent on city streets being named and numbered. The concensus of opinion of board members was that the post office is now taking in enough revenue to make such a program practicable. practic-able. The matter of advertising brochures bro-chures for Roosevelt was again discussed. The board also passed a motion mo-tion that attempts be made to retain the services of Jay Pond as city music director for the summer. The fact was brought out that Mr. Pond has signed a contract as band director with the Jordan school district. |
