Show (Late For Last Week) Ward Party Held The Primary held their Christmas Christ-mas party Tuesday afternoon at the ward house. A program was enjoyed and everyone was given a special Christmas treat. Gifts were exchanged in most of the classes. William Chandler went to Rigby, Idaho Tuesday and brought his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Roy McKee and family, who will spend the' holidays here visiting visit-ing relatives. Mr. Chandler's daughter, Beatrice of Salt Lake accompanied them home to spend the weekend. Robert Dudley is enjoying a furlough here visiting his wife and baby and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dudley, SCHOOL PROGRAM The Avalon School presented their Christmas program Thursday evening at the Randlett recreation center. The program was one of the best programs we have had. The teachers are to be complimented compli-mented on the success of the play. .Santa arrived at the close' of the play carols were sung and then Santa gave treats to everyone. A very large crowd attended'. MIA PRESENTS PROGRAM The Mutual presented their Christmas Assembly program under the direction of speech director, dir-ector, Ethel Durphy. Mrs: Durfee was the' narrator. Participating were Rhea and Velma Picup, Chree Brough,, Diane Taylor, Clark Neb-eker Neb-eker and Bryce and Earl Moore. The' two Bee Hive groups sang the Christmas carols. Lula Dudley Dud-ley gave a talk on the Prophet Joseph Smith, Dancing was enjoyed under the direction of Leah Chandler, and pie and ice cream' were served. The Wm, Chandlers entertained entertain-ed their family for Christmas dinner.. din-ner.. Attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Roy McKee and family of Rigby, Chandler and family, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Chandler and Beatrice and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Turner and family. SUNDAY SCHOOL PRESENTS PROGRAM The Sunday School presented the following program, Mariner Mc Mullen conducted and gave a talk on the' sacrament; the little chiln ren gave readings; choral reart ina", by Shirley Stoddard an Peegy Wardle; Solo by Care, Chandler accompanied by Gilbert Ross on his guitar of Ballard Velma Pickup panel discussinn by Carolyn Stoddard, Irene Jensen and Shirley Pickup; a song bv the same group "Christmas Dawn" accompanied at the piano bv Carolyn Stoddard, Talk by Grant Jarman; Duet by Lula Dudley and Marian Taylor, accompanied at the piano by Melva Jorgensen. Speaker at sacrament meetine Sunday was President Hullingert Mr. and Mrs. Fahy Durphy and daughters, Mrs. Fayellen Sarlow and Deanna went to Salt Lake City Friday evening to visit relatives. rela-tives. Mrs. Leah Christensen, school lunch supervisor, visited at the Avalon School Monday. A Relief Society Christmas party was held Friday evening at the ward house. Games were played and delicious refreshments served to eighteen guests. Gifts were exchanged by those attending. |
