Show LAPOINT Mrs. Mabel Jenkins Married Dec. 28 In S. L. Temple Kenneth Hansen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Hansen of California, Califor-nia, and Ramona Harrison, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs, Jeremiar Harrison Har-rison of Lapoint, were married Wednesday, Dec. 28, in the LDS Temple in Salt Lake. Their parents' par-ents' accompanied them through. Mr. and Mrs. Thurmer Rasmussen also joined the' wedding party. A shower was given in the ward chapel' Thursday afternoon in honor of Mrs. Ramona Harrison Har-rison Hansen. The bride received many gifts and a dance in the evening with music by Art Smith's orchestra, was enjoyed. Lela Miller, of Logan, and Phyllis Miller, of Salt Lake City, flew to Vernal by plane, where they were met by their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Anderson. They spent Christmas and returned re-turned to their home Monday by bus. Speakers at Sacrament meeting last Sunday evening were Ear-lene Ear-lene Warburton, Alice Jenkins, Harrison and Darris Rasmussen. A duet by Helen Bigel.ow and Margaret Huber, accompanied by Dona Hartle on the organ was also al-so enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Huber, of Ogden, were visitors for Christmas Christ-mas with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Huber and family. Harvey (Ki) Lee of Rangely, spent Christmas with his mother, Mrs. Rhoda Ann Lee. Ramona Harrison, of Provo, came in last Saturday to spend the Christmas holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jeremiah Harrison and family. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Preece' and daughter, Linda, of Craig, Colo., were dinner guests of Mr. Preece's mother for Christmas, They also visited Mrs. Preece's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins, Sr. Mr. and Mrs. Junior Stubbs and sons, Brent and Brian, of Vernal, spent Christmas Eve' with Mrs. Stubbs' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins, Sr. DINNER GUESTS Dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs, Frank Jenkins, Sr. on Christmas were' Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Workman and daughters, Janet and Nancy, Jane of Myton, Mrs. Annie Davis of Roosevelt, Mr. and Mrs. David Jenkins and daughter, Alice, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Horrocks and family. Mrs. Annie Davis, of Roosevelt, spent the weekend and Christmas with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs, David Jenkins, and family. Mr. and Mrs. Thurmer Rasmussen Rasmus-sen spent the Christmas holiday weekend in Salt Lake City with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lowe and family. Mrs. Don Hansen of California, Mrs. Howard Murray, Mrs. Ruth Murray of Whiterocks, Mrs. Zina Anderson of Vernal attended the shower of Mrs, Ramona Harrison Hansen Thursday' afternoon. Clyde Cox and children, of Huntington, spent Christmas with his wife. Beth, and Mr. and Mrs. Mack Nyberg. Beth is caring for her mother who is ill. Grant Rasmussen, of Provo, was an overnight guest of his brother, Mr. and Mrs. Thurmer Rasmussen and family. Mr. and Mrs. O. W, Justice are grandparents of a new grandson, born to Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Phifer, Dec. 28 at the LDS Hospital Hos-pital in Roosevelt. The little' fellow has- a little brother to welcome him home. Mr, and Mrs. Morgan Glines and son of Orem, were recent visitors of Mrs. Glines' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Rasmussen and family. fam-ily. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Blackner and daughters, Jessie Mae and Freda Ann Dudley, of Ogden, spent the Christmas holidays weekend with Mrs. Blackner's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred New-meyer New-meyer and family. Jessie Mae and Freda Ann, remained and spent the week with their grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. David Jenkins and daughter, Alice, went to Salt Lake City, Wednesday. They were accompanied by Mrs. Annie Davis of Roosevelt, who will see an eye specialist. |
