Show Good Attendance Noted At Union's First Parents Day More than 300 Uintah Basin parents attended the first annual an-nual "Parents' Day" at Union High School' recently, said L. F. Hutchings, principal. The affair was the first of its kind conducted at the new school, except for the "open house" ceremonies conducted upon completion of the building last year, s The Parents' Day event featured fea-tured orientation of parents in all classes and subjects which their Children participate in at the school, and individual consultation con-sultation periods with teachers. More than 280 of the visitors ate lunch at the school's cafeteria cafe-teria during- the day. Many of the parents rode as far as ' 30v miles in Uintah and Duchesne school district buses to attend.! y 'f All departments of the school, including it3 rapidly growing library, were opened for public inspection. |
