Show Weca Mrs. Viola Horroclc. Oil Crew, Families Will Move Here Five families of the oil crew will move to Neola for the winter. win-ter. They are trying to locate houses for these families. One family has moved into the John Olsen home. Mr. and Mrs. Neil Jensen, who had been living there, have moved into the Lionel Jensen home. Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Jensen are planning to go to St. George soon to spend the winter. Mr. and Mrs. William Mitchell went to Ogden last week to visit with their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Buster Harris who have moved there from Oregon. Mr. Harris is employed in a garage doing body and fender fen-der work. He reports that it surely seems good to be in Utau once again. Mrs. Zelda Elmer has returned return-ed to her home in Ogden, after spending the past week with her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Prescott. MRS. LYNN DYE UNDERGOES OPERATION Mrs. Lynn Dye was rushed to the Salt Lake hospital last week, where she was operated on for a stomach tumor. Her 7-month old baby boy is staying with her father, Art Anderton at Montwel. and her daughter. 5 years old, is staying in Neola with Mr. and Mrs. Delos Dye. Lynn reports that the operation was more serious than they expected. ex-pected. Mrs. Bertha Angus, of Ioka. is visiting with her sister, Jen Woodward. They left Monday to go on' the Temple excursion, where they will do Temple work for a week. Willis Stevens, of Vernal, helped his mother, Mrs. Sad-e Blank, get her cattle ready to truck out to Heber. Mondav. Other farmers who are trucking truck-ing their calves out are: Rex Gardner, Lamar Gardner and Les Gardner. BIRTHDAY HONORED Mrs. Arlene Taylor celebrated celebrat-ed her birthday, Nov. 9th. at her parents' home A chicken dinner with all the trimmings was served to all the immediate family. Fifteen were present at he celebration. The small daughter of Mr and Mrs. Ronald Eksund was in the hospital for a fcw days for treatment of after-effects of the measles. This was her second attack in the last few months. Dean Oberhansley has returned return-ed to his home in Havden. after being in Salt Lake for the past month. His son, Gary, is with him. Paul Robb and his son. Ther-on, Ther-on, of Whiterocks. visited with John Horrocks, Saturday. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Larsen were her sister ar.d brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Oberhansley, of White-rocks. White-rocks. Mr. and Mrs. Max Horrocks and two daughters, of Salt Lake City, visited with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Theron Horrocks. during pheasant season. I Sunday School was not held this week on account of Conference Confer-ence at Roosevelt. Kent Nelson. formerly from here, was one of jthe speakers at the Sunday morning session. I Mary Ann Frackis and baby ! daughter, of Salt Lake City, visited recently with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Winn. Mrs. Arietta Williams, Duchesne Du-chesne county elementary schocl supervisor, visited the school last week. On Wednesday all the school children went to the Junior High School for a lyo um number. Mondav pictures will be taken of all the school ! children. Word was received by the j parents of Jay Horrocks that he is now in Tokyo and is on h;.s I way to Korea. Jay's wife and baby daughter are in Salt Lake .with her parents. She will stav there until her husband comes i back from overseas duty. Lawrence Mitchell, of Kamas, is visiting with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Dace Mitchell Roger Horrocks, of Salt Lake City, is visiting with his children. chil-dren. He will also go to Verna' and spend a few days with his daughters there Mrs. Phyllis Wardle gave a dinner in honor of Mrs. Lois Leavitt's birthday. The two families fam-ilies were the only ones present. Mrs. Ada Hutcheons and two sons, of Salt Lake City, wer,; visiting friends and relatives recently. |
