Show Mrs. Ethel Beeb Local Servicemen Receive Discharges Ted Snyder and Raymond Dump arrived home Saturday morning. They both received an honorable discharge at Camp Carson, Colorado, earlier in the week. Both men entered service or November 11, 1950 and botn spent 18 months in Germany Ted at Frankfort, and Raymond, near there. They landed in New Jersey on October 23 and wera sent to Camp Carson for processing. pro-cessing. We welcome Ted and Raymond Ray-mond home, and also Glen Anderson, An-derson, who returned home in October with his discharge. Mr. and Mrs. Tony Flemetis, of Carbon County, were in town on business Saturday. They are former residents of Altonah. A large crowd of Altonah people peo-ple attended quarterly confer ence at Mt. Emmons s Sunday. The Altonah chorus, comprised of Mrs. Margaret Reay, Mrs. Verna Allred, Mrs. Norma Jes-sen, Jes-sen, Mrs. Elva Snyder, Mrs. Florence Mohlman and Glen Mohlman, sang "Come. Come Ye Saints." A number from here attended attend-ed the Hallowe'en masquerade ball at Altamont. Ivan Street, of Mt. Home drove the mail for Floyd Farns worth at the time of the death and burial of Mr. Farnsworth's brother, Eddie Farnsworth of Mt. Home. Mr. Farnsworth died a week ago at the home of his brother, Floyd. Mr. and Mrs. Austin Beebe and son, Mike, of Salem, visited vis-ited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Beebe. Mrs. Ed Case and daughter were in Duchesne Wednesday on business. Ben Perkins, of Mt. Emmons, was an Altonah visitor Wednesday. Wednes-day. Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Ames left Tuesday for Gooding, Idaho, to visit relatives. Mrs. Wm. Ralphs accompanied them as far as Salt Lake City. Keith Snyder left Sunday for Salt Lake City, where he has found employment. Ted Snyder went with him to visit a few days in Salt Lake City and in Springville. He returned home on Wednesday of last week with his brother, Albert of Springville, Spring-ville, who came out to visit with his mother, Mrs. JElva Snyder, Sny-der, and other relatives. Mrs. Laura Mohlman returned return-ed home recently from Roosevelt, Roose-velt, where she had been under the care of a doctor. She was a guest at the home of her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Vera Hansen, while there. Wm. O. Larsen, of Bluebell, was an Altonah visitor Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Vern Bromley and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Beebe, of Duchesne, were in Altonah on business Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Mohlman made a business trip to SaH Lake City Wednesday, returning return-ing home the same day. Mrs. Mohlman's mother. Mrs. Florence Flor-ence Carter, accompanied them home for a visit. A large crowd attended the dance at the Legion Hall Tuesday Tues-day night. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Max-field Max-field attended funeral services for an aunt, Mrs. Mary Smith, at Santaquin, Thursday. Reports of the election from Altonah show 139 registered voters vot-ers and 134 who voted. There were 36 straight Democratic votes and 37 straight Republican votes.
