Junior Stake High ber of High Council Councilman Opens Thursday .... Duchesne Prepares To Welcome Fair Visitors . Program for the Duchesne, Pounty Fair opens at 10 a. n. on Thursday, Sept. 4. Therefore, all crops, needlework, canning, fruit exhibits and baked products pro-ducts in ' both the junior ana open classes must arrive at the exhibits building at the fair grounds prior to 10 a. m., Sept. 4, in order to be entered, in the competition. Judging of the Women's Department, except flowers; judging of crops, fruitu, vegetables, and girls 4H Club work.' is - scheduled to get underway un-derway directly after the deadline dead-line for accepting exhibits on Sept. 4. Any article for exhibit ex-hibit will be accepted after 9 a. m., Sept. 3. Livestock exhibits must arrive ar-rive on the grounds by 10 a. m. on Friday, Sept. 5, inasmuch as judging in these divisions is slated to begin at 10 a. m. Girls' 4-H Club Style Dress Review will be held at the Du chesne chapel at 2 p. m., Friday, followed by the girls' 4-H demonstration dem-onstration contest, scheduled to get underway at 3 p. m. The racing and sports program pro-gram is set from 3 to 5 p. m. this same day and includes children's chil-dren's foot races, horseshoe pitching, pony race, novelty race, potato race, sack race, stake race, trick riding, and a pig scramble. A bandit, concert at the fairgrounds fair-grounds .opens the evening program pro-gram on Friday and precedes the "Miss Duchesne County"' contest finals. Highlight of the Saturday program for the fair is the parade, pa-rade, which is scheduled to start at 1:30 p. m., and a night rodeo to begin at 8 o'clock. Exhibits are open for public inspection from 10 a. m. to 11 p. m. on Friday, Sept. 5, and from 9 a. m. to 5 p. m. on Saturday, Satur-day, Sept. 6. There is no admission ad-mission charge to any of the exhibit ex-hibit displays. |
