Show Tuberculosis Mobile Unit Here In September Representatives from the national na-tional and state Tuberculosis Association met with Duchesne County people at a meeting last Friday night at the Roosevelt Stake House to formulate plans and set dates for the Mobile Tuberculosis Tu-berculosis Unit, which will be here in September to take free chest x-rays. Conducting the meeting was William R. Manning, state health education consultant oi Salt Lake City. Also in attendance attend-ance were Frank T. Jones, -tf New York City, associate in case finding of the National Tuberculosis Tubercu-losis Association, and Joseph Carling, executive secretary of the Utah Tuberculosis and Health Association, Salt Lake City. Assisting in this area witn arrangements are Mrs. Rulon J. Anderton, county chairman; Mrs. Ray Brown, of Montwel, Mrs. Farrell Wilkins, Mrs. Robert Rob-ert Murdock and Mrs. Wilfora Robinson. Following is a schedule drawn up by the organization, which indicates the time the unit will be in the various communities' Sept. 16 Union High School for chest x-rays of students 9 a. m. to 12 noon and 1p. m. to 4 p. m. Sept. 17 Altamont, 12 noon to 6 p. m. Sept. 18 Altamont. 2:00 p. m. to 6 p. m. Sept. 20 Roosevelt. 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. and 3 p. m. to 6 p. m. Sept. 22 Roosevelt 1 p. m. to 6 p. m. Sept. 23 Roosevelt. 9 a. m. to 12 noon, and 1 p. m. to 5 p. m. Sept. 24 Myton, 10 a. m. to 12 noon, 1 p. m. to 5 p. m. Sept. 25 Duchesne, 10 a. m. to 12 noon and 1 p. m. to 5 p. m. Sept. 26 Tabiona. 11 a. m. to 1 p. m., 2 p. m. to 6 p. m. I Duchesne County is paying for the film for the x-rays, which amounts to five cents per picture. Every resident in the county is urged to take advantage of this opportunity. When the unit was here before, several Tuberculosis Tuberc-ulosis cases were detected, some in the very early and curable stages. |
