Show f.lrs. Lela Labrum Accepts Call To Preach Gospel Mrs. Lela Labrum will be honored next Thursday evening, Sept. 4, at the Roosevelt Stake House at a testimonial and party par-ty prior to her departure to fill a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the western states. Headquarters Headquar-ters will be at Denver and her president will be Ray E. Dill-man. Dill-man. According to Bishop R. V. Larson, his newly sustained counselor, Theron Leavitt, has been appointed general chairman chair-man of the committee in charge of arrangements. He reports that a program in the chapel will begin be-gin the night's activities, with a social to follow in the recreation recrea-tion room. In charge of the program part of the testimonial will be thf Seventy of the ward. They will arrange and present the program pro-gram which is in the process of being formulated. Mrs. Labrum is the widow of the late Clair H. Labrum, and all her adult life she ha been active in the Primary and other auxiliary work. She is currently serving as ward chorister. |
