Among new Navy men report-1 ing aboard the battleship US5 Iowa in the Korean area recently re-cently was Bernard V.- Hadden, seaman apprentice, U S N, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Hadden, of Myton, Utah. GLEN L. KURTZ Pvt. Glen L. Kurtz, whose wife, Carma, live:, in Mountain Home Utah, now is serving in Germany with the 2nd Armored "Hell on Wheels" Division. The. armored outfit arrived in Europe in July 1951 to join the North Atlantic Pact Army. During Dur-ing World War II, the division was the first American unit to enter the fallen city of Berlin. He entered the Army in January, Janu-ary, 1952. 'iiHis mother, Mrs. Ruby Kurtz, (father deceased) lives in Vernal. . , DONALD R. ANDERTON A3c Donald R. Anderton, soti of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Anderton, of Montwell, has recently been promoted to the rank of airman second class in the United States Air Force. Airman Anderton attended Roosevelt High School before enlisting in the Air Force in 1949. He spent an overseas tour of duty with the Northeast Air Command, Newfoundland, before be-fore - assignment to the 1905th Airways and Air Communications Communica-tions S e r v i c e,. McChord AF Ba;se T a c o m a, Washington, where he has been stationed since February 1952. |
