SHOULD IT BE ENFORCED Many years ago the City of G.reen River, Wyoming passed an ordinance which limited the activity of peddlers and which has been nationally known as the "Green River Ordinance." Other communities throughout the country have passed this same ordinance (Roosevelt included) for the protection pro-tection of established business houses against untaxed and unlicensed transients. This ordinance has been judged constitutional by several sev-eral states and finally in a test case the United States Supreme Su-preme Court upheld the law. Recently, at Green River,. the town where this controversial contro-versial ordinance originated, the pros and cons of the measure mea-sure were again being argued with much' heat.
