Show Marine Reserve Officer Taking Training Marine Reservist First Lieutenant Lieu-tenant Kenneth E. Zirker, of Mescalero. New Mexico, has reported re-ported at Camp Pendleton, Calif, for the 1952 Marine Corps Reserve Re-serve Training Program, the first full-scale Marine Reserve rummer training program since the outbreak of hostilities in Korea in 1950. This two-week training program pro-gram is designed to add to the military proficiency of Reserve Marine Officers and to keep them abreast of the latest developments de-velopments in military11 weapons and strategy.- While here 1st Lt. Zirker wil' I engage in a refresher course ot 1 his military specialty which is Amphibian Tractors. During World War II, 1st Lt. Zirker, served as a member of the Fleet Marine Force, Pacific. His combat experiences include. Guam and Hawaiin Islands, officer of-ficer in charge of T-E items. Upon completion of his training train-ing . he will return to his former form-er position as extension agent with the Department of Interior, Inter-ior, at Mescalero. |
