Show Kiwanis Group Hears Past Auxiliary Leader The Roosevelt Kiwanis Club last night observed all-Kiwanis week, a period each year when the International Convention is in prograss and all clubs throughout Canada, the United States and her possessions, join in a program of rededication of the principals and ideals of Kiwanis. Ki-wanis. Following the reading of a message from the International president and a piano solo by Miss Margaret Huber, club members and their wives heard a challenging address by Mrs. Eve Ashton, of Vernal, past president of the National American Amer-ican Legion Auxiliary. She related re-lated some of her experiences while serving as president during dur-ing 1953, and then told the group of the dangers lurking in every corner of this great country from Communistic infiltration in-filtration into our government, schools, social and service groups and even the churches. The meeting was presided over ov-er by President. Cliff Memmott who read the messag-e from Donald Forsythe, international president, . and introduced Mrs. Ashton. Community singing was led by Dave Watkins, assisted as-sisted by his wife. Special guests of the club were Dr. and Mrs. Daniel Dennis, who recently recent-ly moved to Roosevelt .from Idaho Falls. |
