Show Church Notes RELIEF SOCIETY Indian Relief Society was held at Mrs. Mary May Murray's Mur-ray's home this week, while the church house was being cleaned. M.I.A, The MIA Sunday evening program pro-gram was held Sunday evening with Miss Iona Ellingford taking tak-ing charge. Speakers were Doris Ellingford, a Mia Maid; Mrs. Edith Oberhansley, a teacher; Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Smith. A piano solo was played by Betty Oberhansley and an accordion solo by Larna Oberhansley. SUNDAY SCHOOL A Mother's Day program was given in Sunday School, Sunday. Sun-day. An orchid was presented to Grandma Moosman, the oldest old-est mother and a carnation to Roberta Crozier, youngest mother. moth-er. SACRAMENT MEETING The Aaronic priesthood gave their program in meeting on Sunday, with a song by Clark Oarum; speakers were, Theron Robb, Ronald Robb, Eldon An-derton, An-derton, Stanley Hoops and Bishop Bish-op Ellingford. Keith Ellingford gave a musical reading and a song by a mixed chorus. A pool hall was opened here in Whiterocks last week by Tommy LaRose. A nlav "T'T-iic Tc .Qrvrincy " urac presented to the Whiterocks school children by the Alterra School, on Wednesday. The children taking part did some very good acting. Jimmy Hoops, son of Bill Hoops, has been ill this last week with tonsilitis. Grandma Crozier, of Hawthorne, Haw-thorne, Calif., visited three days this week with her grandson, Francis Crozier, and family. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hoops and family visited in Tridell at the William Harvey home on Mother's Moth-er's Day. Mrs. Edna Evans and children of Altonah spent Mother's Day with her mother, Mrs. Matilda Moosman. The Grant Killian, Don Kill-ian Kill-ian and Mont Killian families; Reva Owen, Grandma Richens and Lynn Johnson visited the Marinus Christensens on Sunday. Sun-day. They had a picnic lunch on the Whiterocks Creek. |
