Ranck of Salt Lake City were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Faye Prows for several days last week. Mrs. Thrash is a sister to Mrs. Prows and Mrs. Ranck is the mother of Mrs. Prows. ' Lon Dump returned home from the Roosevelt hospital Thursday where he has been for some time receiving treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Powell announce the arrival of a baby girl, born July 20 at the Roosevelt Roos-evelt hospital. Henry Wathen of Bluebell was in town on business Friday. Mrs. Dora Bird, who is employed em-ployed in Salt Lake City is visiting visit-ing her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Anderson and her daughters. daugh-ters. Mr. and Mrs. Lafe Burgess, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Burgess, and Laurence Merrick of Sunnyside and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Olsen of Dragerton, spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Burgess and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Allred last week. They also enjoyed a fishing fish-ing trip in the mountains. Naydeen Johnson had her tonsils removed at the Roosevelt hospital Thursday. Mrs. Lester Maxfield and son accompanied W. A. Maxfield and Neil Maxfield to Salt Lake City Wednesday. Mrs. Dean Reay was brought home Tuesday from the Roosevelt Roos-evelt hospital only to return Thursday where she underwent another operation Friday morning morn-ing for an absess. Mrs. Maxine Holman of Salt Lake City is spending sometime with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Heber Timothy. Faye Prows is employed in the Calder Creamery and Claude Paynor of Salt Lake City is operating oper-ating his truck. F. L. Maxwell of Salt Lake City was an Altonah business visitor Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Anderson of Ioka spent several days last week putting up Clinton Bow-den's Bow-den's hay. Mr. and Mrs. Wimcr Murray of My ton were visiting at the home of Mr. Murray's parents, Mr. and Mrs. James B. Murray. Misses Connie and Renee Turnbow of Salt Lake City were guests of Marilyn and Sandra Prows several days last week. Miss Leah Parlmer of Vale, Oregon is visiting her aunt, Mrs. Carol Mair for a few days. Mrs. Virginia Smith of -My ton came to Altonah Saturday to be with her sister, Esther Allred in her bereavement. Mrs. Edith Timothy and daughter, Mrs. Blanche Carroll returned home last week from a trip to Leadville, Colorado. Mark Foote of Salt Lake City is a guest of Leo Ames for several days. Mrs. George Berrett returned home from Salt Lake City Monday, Mon-day, where she has been receiving receiv-ing medical treatment. Her daughter, Afton accompanied she and her son, George Jr., came with them after having received re-ceived his physical examination for the armv. . Mr. and Mrs. Nolan Mecham, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Chidester, Mrs. Elsie Chidester, Lionel Merrick, son, Laurence and daughters, Florence and Leonia of Sunny-side, Sunny-side, came in Sunday to attend the funeral services of Deloy Allred Monday. Mrs. John Berrett of Union, Utah, is here visiting her son, George Berrett and family. |
