Show xfr and Mrs, Robert Marchant sflnounce the marriage of their tighter, Linnie to Ross P. . i Findlay of Salt Lake. The wedding wed-ding took place July 11, in the Salt Lake Temple. Mr. and Mrs. James Zobell and children, Joicc, Garry, and Diana of Provo are making an extended visit with Mrs. Zobell's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Lloyd. Howard Jones is spending a 30-day furlough with his mother, Mrs. Celia Jones and sisters, Dale and Saxon. . Mr. and Mrs. D. Hambleton brought their son, James home . irom the Roosevelt hospital Wednesday. James was hurt very seriously two weeks ago I when he was thrown from his l father's truck. He will be in bed a month while the pelvis bone heals and then he will be taken to Salt Lake for treatment for skull fracture and eyes and ears which are injured also. Mrs. Ruth Loury received word from her husband that he is now in Okinawa and on July 16th he was promoted from C. M. 2-c to CM. 1-c. Mr. Loury met his brother T-5 Edwin L. Loury on the Island. Mr. and Mrs. Ross P. Findlay of Salt Lake City came in Thursday Thurs-day to spend several days with Mrs. Findlay's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marchant. Cpl. Findlay has just returned from Europe where he has spent 12 months. He was in 10 of the foreign countries. He leaves Monday to report to Camp Lee, Virginia, where he will be reassigned re-assigned to other service duties. Hal Johnson who has employment employ-ment in Salt Lake City came in to visit with his parents Saturday and Sunday. Otto Lloyd went to Provo Thursday and brought back a new car. Clarence Wall and family of Spring Canyon visited 3 days here and spent the 24th of July. Mr. and Mrs. Ward Zobell of Provo were week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Lloyd. Allen Lloyd and family of Taft, California were also week end guests of Otto and James . Lloyd and family. I Mr. and Mrs. Ira Winkler and family of Spring Canyon were visiting relatives and friends here last week. I Miss Ora Milles was pleasantly pleasant-ly supriscd Friday night when the young folks met and had an enjoyable evening, celebrating the birthday of Miss Miles. Mrs. Lila French left Monday by buss for Bloomville, Missouri to visit for some time with Mr. French's folks. Mr. French is in ..the armed forces. I Ruben L. Nelson, Murel Benson Ben-son and Elvin Bascom of Roosevelt Roos-evelt were visiting in Ioka Sun- , day in the interest of Genealogy work. I Hugh Percival made a trip to J the saw mill Saturday for building build-ing material. He was accompanied accom-panied by Orie Cook of Bluebell. Blue-bell. There will be baptism services Saturday at 4 o'clock at Bishop Webb's place on the bench. Mrs. Roy Batchler and son of Ogden are visiting her mother and family . Speakers in sacrament meeting meet-ing Sunday were: Robert Marchant Mar-chant and Ross Findlay who gave a very interesting talk of his travels and the people he had met while in the service of our country in Europe the last year. |
