His wife, the former , Miss Ardis Long is living in ; Roosevelt. ; RETURNS TO BASE Albert Daniels, S F 2-c return- edSunday, July 15 to San Diego, , California where he is stationed inthe U. S. Navy. He entered the Navy June 13, 1944 and received ,his basic training at Farragut, Idaho and was then sent to San Diego. His wife spent two weeks with him before he received his 10-day leave. Albert Daniels was formerly employed as an engineer engi-neer at Ft. Duchesne before entering the service. Scholes arrived home Friday morning from Camp Wolters, Texas, where he has just completed his basic training in the U. S. Army. Pvt. Scholes is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Scholes of Roosevelt. He graduated from the Roosevelt high school with the class of 1944 and entered the service March 12, 1945. He will leave here Monday and is scheduled to report for duty at Alabama August 14, where he will receive special training. TO RECEIVE FURTHER AAF TRAINING RANDOLPH FIELD, Tex., Ready for transition training in B-29 superfortresses, Lt. Marion L. Baumartel, son of Mr. and' Mrs. John Baugartcl, of Roosevelt, Roos-evelt, has reported as a student at Randolph Field. At this AAF Training Command Com-mand installation B-29 commanders, command-ers, pilots and flight engineers master operation of the giant super bombers preparatory to combat assignment. RECEIVES HONORABLE DISCHARGE Ft. Douglas, Utah Discharged Discharg-ed from the Army under the adjusting ad-justing service rating plan at the Fort Douglas separation center, P.F.C. Clyde R. Lisonbee whose father, H. L. Lisonbee lives at Bluebell, Utah, is wearing the bronze star for campaigns pursuant pur-suant to operations in the Southwest South-west Pacific. Incidental to his 15 months service overseas, he is authorized to wear the good conduct and Asiatic Pacific ribbons. Before entering the army in July, 1943, Pfc. Lisonbee was self employed farmer at Bluebell, Blue-bell, Utah. VISITS PARENTS M-Sgt. W. C. Gurr, his wife and baby, Nancy Gayle have returned re-turned to his Air base in Almo-gordo, Almo-gordo, New Mexico, after spending spend-ing a two weeks furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Gurr of Hayden. M-Sgt. Gurr spent 22 months overseas and is training men for overseas duty. P.F.C. Beryl Gurr who has been spending a 30-day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Gurr of Hayden has reported re-ported back to Fort Douglas, Utah, for further orders. Beryl was with the 86th Black Hawk Division who recently returned from Germany. RECEIVES DISCHARGE Ft. Douglas, Utah Discharge-ed Discharge-ed from the Army under the adjusted ad-justed service rating plan at the Fort Douglas Separation Center M-Sgt. Chalmer W. Workman whose parents, Mr. and Mrs. W, W. Workman live at Roosevelt, Utah, is wearing the bronze stars for 7 campaigns in South Pacific and Southwest Pacific. Incidental to his 29 months service overseas, he is authorized to wear the Philippine Liberation Libera-tion Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Ribbon ,thc American Defense Ribbon and the Good Conduct Medal. Before entering the Army in August 5, 1940, Chalmer was employed as a mechanic for the Indian Service, at Fort Duchesne, Du-chesne, Utah, |
