Show LDS Relief Society Sets '45 Meeting Details of the first general conference con-ference of the LDS Relief society to be held since Pearl Harbor, set for Oct, 3 and 4 in the assembly hall and tabernacle, temple square, squ-are, in Salt Lake, were announced announc-ed following a general board meeting Wednesday by Mrs. Belle S. Spafford, general president. pres-ident. Administrative phases of the 1945-1946 Relief society program will be discussed at the first session ses-sion to be held the afternoon of Oct. 3 in the assembly hall, Mrs. Spafford said. This meeting will be for general, stake and mission officers and leaders, she said, Both meetings Oct. 5 will be held in the tabernacle and will be open to all Relief society officers offi-cers and members and the public. pub-lic. Varied phases of the new year's program and activities, educational, theological and welfare, wel-fare, will be developed at these two sessions. In planning the conference, Mrs. Spafford, who succeeded Mrs. Amy Brown Lyman as president pres-ident last April, is being assisted by her counselors, Mrs. Marianne Mari-anne C. Sharp and Mrs. Gertrude R. Garff. The Relief society conference will precede the semiannual general gen-eral LDS church conference Oct. 5, 6 and 7. |
