Show Myton Gity Hews Section Kenneth Harris G. M. 3-c, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Harris left for his station at Treasure Island Friday. Miss Dclpha Collins Col-lins of Salt Lake accompanied Kenneth as far as Salt Lake City where she is employed. Pfc. Ed Thompson and mother, Mrs. Alice Ball' of American Fork were visiting Alice's sister, Mrs. Lional Bowden and brother, Carlos Clark and families over the week end. Pfc. Winworth Mott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Mott came home Thursday. Winworth was given an honorable discharge at Ft. Douglas. Arvel J. Niclson G. M. 3-c, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emery Nielson left Wednesday for Treasure Island for further orders. Pfc. and Mrs. Orin Wilson were visiting Mrs. Wilson's mother, moth-er, Mrs. Ray Thomas last week. They both went to Salt Lake City Sunday where Orin will get further orders at Ft Douglas. Sgt. Wra. Smith came in Wednesday to visit his wife, who is living with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Davenport. Merle Redford E, M. C. 3-c, and wife and family are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Elsworth Cox and Dick Jones while Merle is on his furlough. Legion and Auxiliary The meeting was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. P. And-crle And-crle Friday evening. A chicken supper was served by the following: follow-ing: Frank Collotz and Alvin Brummett were initiated in the American Legion. The following were present: Mr. and Mrs. Jay Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Brummett, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Krebs, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Collotz, Mr. and Mrs. Harve Portridge, Mr. and Mrs. George Brummitt, Mr. and Mrs. Demsil Hemphill, Roland Krebs, Miss Alice Tood and Mrs. Carrie Parker. The Legion met Tuesday night and initiated: Ray Warr, Arvel Nielson, Marvel Woods and Winworth Win-worth Mott as members. Miss Josphine and Miss Gladys Hunt were visiting Thursday and Friday with Mrs. Dora D. Matt- hews of Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. Felix Quintana, Elnora and Margaret went to Provo Wednesday to visit their son, Charlie and family and their daughter, Mary and family. Mr. and Mrs, Earl Hardinger and son, Eugene of Lyman, Wyoming Wy-oming were visiting Mr. and Mrs. Emery Nielson and Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Adams Tuesday of last week. Joseph Cooper of San Francisco, Francis-co, is here taking care of business bus-iness and visiting Mr. and Mrs. Lee Cooper. Mrs. Charles Dowling and family and sister, LeAnna moved to Provo Sunday to start school. Mrs. Dave Allen and Mrs. Clyde Bingham and family will go the last of the week. They will all stay at Provo. Ted Monks was called to Ft. Douglas Thursday and was sent home Saturday for another thirty days. Giles Woods spent Saturday in Salt Lake City on business. Mr. and Mrs. Gus Solmonson came home from Salt Lake City Sunday night where they visited relatives and friends and took in the fair. Teddie Giles, son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Giles suffered a broken brok-en ankle Thursday. Mrs. Frank Adams and family went to Provo last week to visit her mother and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Potter have purchased the Allen residence. Mr. and Mrs. Arvel Warner of Copperton were visiting Mr. and Mrs. Ole Peterson over the week end. Mrs. Ole Peterson accompanied ac-companied them as far as Heber where she will visit Mr. and Mrs. Glen Wardle. Ralph and Norma McMullen of Ballard were visiting Francis and Howard Funk Saturday. Howard accompanied Ralph home for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. George Funk attended at-tended Mrs. Funk's, mother, Mrs. Pearl Jenkin's 56th birthday anniversary an-niversary Friday evening at Rossevelt. Mrs. Leota Linke of Denver, aunt of Mrs. James Dalgleish visited here Friday, enroute to San Francisco. Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Whitehead of Salt Lake City were visiting Misses Josephine and Gladys Hunt over the week end. Mrs. Milan Bywaters and cousin, cou-sin, Miss Beth Nyberg of Clearfield Clear-field were visiting here Monday. Ted Howell of Orem came Sunday to visit his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Howell. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Davenport Daven-port and Sgt. and Mrs. Wm. Smith were guests of Miss Alice Todd and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Todd Sunday evening. Pfc. Winworth Mott went to Strawberry to visit his sister and family Saturday. Mrs. Syerl Dennis went to Wallsburg, Tuesday to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Whit-ting. Whit-ting. Mr. Dennis will go out Wednesday, then they will go to Provo and Salt Lake City to visit the remainder of the week. Mrs. J. B. Blankenship of Vernal Ver-nal came Sunday to visit her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Koehler. Dorthea Dart left Tuesday morning to start her training as a nurse in the Army Cadet Corp. |
