Show PERSONALS and SOCIETY Allie Wardle of Provo was a visitor in Roosevelt last week end. i Mrs. Harry Gregory who has been quite ill, is able to be out again. ' ... is Harmon Mullins of California is here visiting relatives and friends. Burt Burgess made a business trip to Salt Lake City over the week end. Mrs. Mary Bowden of Altonah was a business visitor in Roosevelt Roose-velt Monday. Giles Wood who was taken to Roosevelt hospital last week, is reported improving daily. Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Rudy of Oram, Utah have been visiting here with relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Neal Hanks and Miss Donna Hanks of Nine Mile were Roosevelt visitors Wednesday. Wednes-day. Miss Lila Gardner of Salt Lake City and Miss Helen Walton Wal-ton spent last week visiting in Denver. Mrs. William IT. Ruppel who has been quite ill for the past two months, is now on the improve. im-prove. Miss Jennie Einerson who is employed by the Telephone company at Salt Lake City spent a few days here last week end. Mrs. Paul Lunt who has been in Salt Lake for some time, spent the week visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray E. Dillman. Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Seeley of Royal, Utah, were week end visitors at the home of his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Acel Seeley of Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. Randy Linch returned re-turned to their home in San Francisco after spending two weeks visiting relatives here. She is the daughter of Charles Bingham. Mr. and Mrs. Orson Stevens and family who have been living liv-ing in Idaho and South Dakoto for the past three years have returned re-turned to Roosevelt to make thier home. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Snyder and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Glea-ton Glea-ton and family and Mrs. Newell Snyder of Woods Cross returned Friday from a weeks vacation in Yellowstone Park. Mrs. George Bracken and son, Lynn spent last week in Salt Lake. They visited with Rhea who has employment there, also her other daughters, Mrs. Elton Kettle and Mrs. Woodie Marshall and families. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Mohlman, Mr. and Mrs. Ned Bellon, Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Cook were guests at the Ashton cabin in the Uintah Canyon over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Schmiett as host and hostess. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Betts and two children of Springville have been spending the past week on a vacation. They were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clair Haslem of Bennett. Mrs. Betts and Mrs. Haslem are sisters. Mr. and Mrs. Oral Snyder and daughter, Linda, Mrs. Janie Moore and George Moore all of Milford, Utah, spent several days this week at the home of Joe Snyder and Jack Gleaton. They also spent 2 days fishing in Uintah canyon. Mary Dillman, who has been spending the summer in Roosevelt Roos-evelt with her parents, left Monday Mon-day for San Francisco, California, Cali-fornia, where she will take the examination for Red Cross work and also take her physical examination exam-ination before leaving for Virginia Vir-ginia where she will continue her studies in welfare work. Bridgelie Club Mrs. Clifton Laris was hostess to the Bridgette club, September 6. Those present were Evelyn Schmiett, Marva Corbridge, Wanda Campbell, Lucille Hayes, Pat Owens, Ellen Rawlings, Bliss Eldredge, Norma Bellon, LaVera Bellon, Larrine- Alexander, Verda Nelson, Kam Harmston and the hostess. A delicious luncheon was served. Junior Social Culture Club Last Wednesday the Junior Social Culture club met at the home of Mrs. Bernard Larsen to plan the work for the coming year. The meeting was presided over by the president, Mrs. Ray N. Tuttle, the other officers are Mrs. Bernard Larsen, vice president; pres-ident; Mrs. Cecil Jenkins, secretary; secre-tary; Parliamentarian, Mrs. Stanley Hall; conservation chairman, chair-man, Mrs. Parley Rawlings. Mrs. Alden Alexander was appointed chairman of the program committee com-mittee for the coming year. Those present were Mrs. Alden Alexander, Mrs. Elmer Eldredge, Mrs. Ray Tuttle, Mrs. Parley Rawlings, Mrs. Frank Griffon, Mrs. Clifton Laris, Mrs. Lee Allred, Mrs. Ronald Page, Mrs. Rex Curry, Mrs. Wilford Granger Grang-er and the hostess, Mrs. Larsen. A very lovely lunch was served. Ladies Fish and Game The Ladies Fish and Game club for their summer project made two sets of tables and bencher which they expect to put in the City Park in the next day or two. The project was under the direction of a com-I com-I mitte of which Tina Wilkins was chairman. Mrs. Parley Rawlings is president of the club, with Mrs, Farrel Wilkins vice president pres-ident and Mrs. Frank Yack secretary.. sec-retary.. All members of the club wishing wish-ing to play ball on Indian Day, must meet at the park Tuesday, September 18, at 6:30 p., m. for the final practice. Friday Bridge Mrs. Bee Jordan was hostess to the Friday Bridge club September 7th, at her home. Those present were Mrs. Beryl Mullins, Mrs. Mary Weiss, Mrs. Lelta Robbins, Mrs. Areva Huish. Mrs. Agnes Ferron, Mrs. Nell Wilkins, Mrs. Ann War-nock, War-nock, Mrs. Marva Corbridge, Mrs. Viola Harmston, Mrs. Kam Harmston and Mrs. Hazel Ashton. Ash-ton. A lovely luncheon was served serv-ed by the hostess. |
