Mr. and Mrs. Ross Iorg of Roosevelt Roos-evelt have moved into the Jed Longhair place. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Beebe were in Ft. Duchesne and Roosevelt Roos-evelt on business Wednesday. Lloyd Palmer is employed at Steve and Ned's Cafe in Roosevelt. Roos-evelt. Janet Lindsey of Mt. Home was a guest at the home of Patti Ralphs on Thursday . Mr. and Mrs. Dave Carroll and Mrs. Fern Miller were in Roosevelt Roos-evelt Thursday receiving medical care. Miss Maydeen Johnson left Friday to spend the week end in Leadville, Colorado. Clinty Ames and Chubb Reay were transacting business in Rock Creek, Duchesne and Roosevelt Roos-evelt Thursday. I Albert Clark returned- home from Salt Lake City Wednesday. Mr. Clark took his son, Ted, to , Salt Lake City last week fori medical care and it was found Ted had rheumatic fever and would have to stay in the L D S hospital for some time. Mrs. Elsie Chidester stayed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Shiner while they were visiting in Salt Lake City last week. Mr. and Mrs. Neldon Oliver of Price and Mrs. Ivie Cole of Roosevelt Roos-evelt visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Olsen last week. Curtis Snyder made a trip to Salt Lake City last week. Clyde Lambert and Aldon Carroll Car-roll went up Petty Mountain last week to measure snow. Altonah people attending P T A at Altamont Saturday night were Mr. and Mrs. Fentpn Powell, Pow-ell, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ralphs, Mr. and Mrs. Glade Timothy, Mr. nnd Mrs. Jim Timothy, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Allred, Mr. and Mrs. Aldon Carroll. Wm. E. Clark took Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Farnsworth and daughter, Donna, to Salt Lake City Sunday where Donna will receive medical care. A farewell party was given at the home of Chubb Reay Tuesday night for Mr. and Mrs. Jack Mc Arthur. Guests present were Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Aldon Carroll, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Morris. The evening was spend in playing table games. Mrs. Jane Gygie and three small grandaughters of Salt Lake City spent a few days last week visiting with Mrs. Harold Morris and son, Wm. E. Clark. Word was received the later . part of the week of the death of Mrs. Lula Petty Maxwell of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Maxwell was born and raised in Altonah and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. R, Petty. They moved to Salt Lake City several years ago. We wish to express our deepest sympathy sym-pathy to the family of Mrs. Maxwell. Max-well. George Carroll, Clyde Lambert, Lam-bert, George Fisher,, Sr., Clarence Claren-ce Jones and Aldon Carroll attended at-tended the Stockmen's Roundup at Roosevelt Saturday afternoon. ' A number of people attended the Stake Gold and Green Ball at Upalco Friday night. Eldora Clark was chosen as queen and Arthur Timothy was prince charming. Mr. and Mrs. Jack McArthur left Wednesday to make their home in Farfield, Utah. They leased their place to Victor Kof-ford. Kof-ford. Mr. and Mrs. Pervencil Clark and baby of the Big Bonanza Mine spent the week end visiting at the home of Mr. Clark's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Clark. |
