Show BLUEBELL (Mrs. Garda Seeley) Mr. and Mrs. Charley Johnson of Price, Utah visited with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith a few days last week. . : Mrs. Emily Hancock celebrat-' ed her 80th birthday with a little ' party at her home on the 20th of March. Guests present were, Mrs. Mina Goodrich, Mrs. Zella Good-rich, Good-rich, Mrs. Sylvia Goodrich, Mrs. Laura Seeley, Mrs. Florence Hancock, Han-cock, Mrs. Lila Gale and Mrs. Verona Winkler. A delicious dinner din-ner was served. A large crowd from Bluebell attended P. T. A. on Saturday evening at Altamont. Bluebell Ward furnished a delicious lunch. 1 Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hancock of Salt Lake spent the "week end here with Ray's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hancock. Ray's mother accompanied them back to Salt Lake City where she will receive medical treatment. Mr. Hancock will join her later. Sherman Anderson has received receiv-ed his discharge from the Navy, after serving over two years. At present he is here with his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson. On Thursday Sherman Anderson Ander-son and Fred Mathews were business bus-iness visitors in Duchesne. Miss Betty Lou Seeley and Harry Smith returned from Salt Lake Saturday with Franklyn Smith. Both Betty and Harry are in the L D S Mission Home at Salt Lake City and will leave there for their respective mission fields on March 27th. Mrs. Mary Merrells and Miss Beth Winkler accompanied them here for a short visit with Bishop and Mrs. Bernard Winkler. They all returned re-turned to Salt Lake on Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Harmston and baby and Mrs. and Mrs. Garnet Gar-net Birchell and children of Roosevelt Roos-evelt and Mrs. Thelma Robison and family of Ioka were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Goodrich. Mr. and Mrs, Wilmer Murray of Myton visited here with relatives rela-tives on Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Dexter and daughter, Judy, of Vernal visited with Mr. and Mrs. John Therning and with Franklyn Smith on Sunday. Sun-day. Mr. and Mrs. Mont Williams and son, Kent, of Ogden spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. L. Lisonbee. Mr. and Mrs. Dell Larsen and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Larsen and families of Salt Lake City visited with Mr. and Mrs. James W. Powell on Saturday and Sunday. Sun-day. Mrs. James Powell who has been visiting in Salt Lake the past week, accompanied the Lar-sen's Lar-sen's home. Mr. and Mrs, Owen Goodrich left on Sunday for Salt Lake to attend the wedding of Mrs. Goodrich's Good-rich's brother. Word came from Salt Lake City that Mr. and Mrs. Bill Por-izky Por-izky and Mrs. Ray Therning and children were involved in a wreck which completely demolished demol-ished the Porizky car and put Mrs. Therning in the hospital for a few hours. Mrs. Jennie Goodrich had a quilting party at her home on Thursday. The following ladies were present, Mrs. Florence Hancock, Han-cock, Mrs. Laura Seeley, Mrs. Zella Goodrich, Mrs. Sylvia Goodrich, Mrs. Martha Smith, Mrs. Mina Goodrich, Mrs. Thel-. ma Cook and Mrs. Belle Bird. A lovely dinner was served. Norma Hancock and Don Steed came on Saturday night to visit Norma's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hancock. Mrs. Alice Warren and sons, Gary, Newell and Auer, and daughters, Connie and Karen; and Mrs. LaRue Jenson and daughter of Vernal spent Sunday visiting friends in Bluebell. David Cook, small son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Cook of Clark, Colorado, visited a few days In Bluebell with his cousin, Lynn Cook. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Gee visited visit-ed a few days with Mr. and Mrs. John Therning this week. Mr. Gee recently received his discharge dis-charge from the Navy. They will live at their former home in Duchesne. Du-chesne. Mrs. Lenora Strasburg and four children left for Provo on Monday, where they will visit i with relatives. I |
