Show Letters To The Editor Dear Editor: I think the Utah State Dental Association was in bad taste and displayed a very definite lack of information in its answer to the neople's petition for a dentist in Roosevelt. It may be true that some small towns and individuals impose a religious test on professional pro-fessional men and women, but that certainly is not the case with Roosevelt. In the short time I have practiced prac-ticed in Roosevelt I find that my best boosters are members of the predominant faith the Latter Day Saints church. I make this statement because I assume that the letter from Dr. Carl M. Decker, Dresident of the association, associa-tion, referred to the Mormon church when he made his statement state-ment regarding the imposition of a religious test. While I was in school I was told repeatedly that I couldn't make trood in Utah because of my religious beliefs; I am not a member of the Latter Day Saints church. But personal experience has proved this statement to be entirely false. It is my belief that a trofe;- slonal man or woman is expected to appreciate his or her patients as all business men are expected to appreciate their patrons. From my own experience I do believe that a trained dentist in Rooso-velt Rooso-velt will go to the top. that his services will be aDoreciated, and that he will not be subjected to a religious test of any descrin-tion. descrin-tion. Dr. Decker's statement is a reflection on a grand community commun-ity made up of sincere neighbor- ' ly people. Yours truly, Isabell Roller. D. C |
